Switch port announcement, but I can't wait to check out that Splatoon DLC.

Despite the lack of a formal
announcement, Sellars has apparently not changed his stance that a Dark Souls
Switch port is indeed coming, and he's now claiming that the
port will arrive at some point in 2018.
In addition to the
announcement of the Nintendo
Switch - exclusive Bayonetta 3, a
port of Bayonetta 2 was also revealed to be headed to Nintendo's hybrid console — packaged with the first game as a «full download.»
While several Japanese publishers have been treading carefully with the Nintendo
Switch, Square Enix was there from the start with the
announcements of Project Octopath Traveller, Lost Sphear and an I Am Setsuna
port.
With the recent
announcement of Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate for Nintendo
Switch, Monster Hunter fans all around the Western Hemisphere are all excited about getting this highly anticipated
port in their hands.
This comes hot off the heels of Bethesda's recent
announcements in regards to Skyrim being
ported over to the
switch.
We can assume another 10 minutes will be sucked up by smaller
announcements such as
switch ports and some coverage on some upcoming VR releases.
Pretty much every other indie
announcement from before the release of the
Switch or after, has been a
port.
Last week Bethesda made the surprise
announcement that it's bringing the recent Doom and the forthcoming Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus to Nintendo
Switch, which gives us some cause for optimism when it comes to seeing current - gen console
ports on the hybrid hardware.
I can go through now a list of games I'd love to see
ported onto the
Switch, and for some reason MBR never really popped into my head and yet, when I read the VooFoo
announcement I shouted out a very vocal «OF COURSE», it just makes perfect sense and if it continues to the end of its development cycle at this standard, I'm going to be there day one without a second thought.

Switch announcement event earlier this year, but fans speculated that we might learn more about this handheld
port of the fifth Elder Scrolls at E3, either from Nintendo or directly from Bethesda.
The title was originally scheduled to come to the
Switch sometime in August, coinciding with the release of the game's special edition on all platforms; however, given the lack of news about the
Switch port ever since its
announcement back in June, many people had already guessed that the game wouldn't be able to reach its launch window.
Others have suggested that it may be the
announcement of the Nintendo
Switch's first Pokémon title — perhaps a
port of the Wii U's Pokkén Tournament, if not a new independent game — or else the seemingly inevitable remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl (and potentially Pokémon Platinum, who knows how far they'll go?)
However, it's not such a packed lineup that totally new game
announcements are out of the question, and many fans (myself included) are hoping for a
Switch port of Smash Bros. to make its debut.
