Topping things off with excellent optional motion controls makes this a great
Switch port from the original PC version.

ports from last generation playstation and xbox hardware so how can you diss the better systems and then rejoice when you get a game like dark souls which is
from those consoles but is a shell compared to how they look and play on the better consoles??
While this news isn't a direct confirmation that the
Switch port will lift heavily
from the former, it does seem likely.

Switch port lacks many of the upgrades
from last year's Playstation 4 and Xbox One remaster and can look a bit plain by comparison.

from having such a massive world in the palm of your hands.
The game itself is already out in Japanese Arcades & the Wii U but will also be getting a

Switch Exclusive.
There's so much potential for small details that would have really set the
Switch port apart
from the pack, like touchscreen support and social functions.

According to a new tech analysis
from Digital Foundry, it looks like Dark Souls Remastered is not going to be a simple
port on Nintendo
Switch in comparison with the original game for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The
Switch port will include levels

That was all but a given, considering the others

I am relieved to see that the
Switch usually only suffers
from a frame rate cut and a resolution drop on these multiplatform releases as opposed to the butchering games often got on the Wii due to power, storage medium limitations such as on the Gamecube and N64, and being hard to
port to due to an entirely different development environment as the case was with the Wii U. I realize that these statements are a little oversimplified because it IS more complicated than that but there are a whole lot of worse ways that Nintendo
ports have gotten neutered for the last two decades because of Nintendo's tendencies to veer left when the market goes right.
With the success of the
Switch, I see more and more
ports going that way and something that seems easy,
from an outside perspective, is Fallout Shelter.
Now we know
from western developers that
porting to
Switch is painless and doable in just a few months with optimization.
Now with the
Switch we finally get to see what happens when an innovative Nintendo console is available for which games can easily
port to /
from other platforms.
As said above, with the Wii Shop Channel shutting down in a year
from now it'd be smart for some of the companies who put out Wiiware titles to
port their games over to other platforms like
Switch.
This feature has been removed
from the Wii
port apparently due to the
switch from a high overhead perspective to a closer Resident Evil 4 style one — a flimsy excuse if ever there was one.
From the console constantly selling out and reports of games being
ported to it, selling more copies on
Switch compared to other platforms, and Nintendo's latest financial results revealing just how popular their million seller titles are, the
Switch is even more of a success than most would realize.»
Which means that third - party developers require almost a year to
port their games to Nintendo
Switch and we will see more and more games
from third - party developers in the future.
In terms of graphics, Pirate's Curse didn't look that much different
from Risky's Revenge on the 3DS, but on the
Switch, it looks like it was a straight
