It's obvious from the first episode that «Falling Skies» is working with a limited budget, but while the special effects are only slightly better than your average
SyFy made - for - TV movie, they're never a crutch to the series.
In the wrong hands, that sounds more like
a SyFy made for TV movie than something to be excited about, but considering Amirpour's preternatural talent for splicing genres, if anyone can make it work she can.

SyFy Kids may be publishing the game in tandem with THQ, explicitly leading to some calling it childish, I would hardly
make such a distinction.
Now
Syfy is turning another property into a series — and it has enlisted some big names to
make it a reality.
Games like Bioshock, Half - Life 2: Episode 2, and Uncharted 2 may not stand toe - to - toe with film greats like Schindler's List and Inception, but you'd be hard - pressed to find anybody who would rather watch Battlefield Earth or one of
