In theory, earning and redeeming

fixed rates enables the airline to offer award space at all times without restrictions — there's no way to game the

system where their Rapid Rewards
points are worth 70 to 80
points per dollar, which comes out to 1.43 cents per
point at best.
Because Capital One works on a cashback or travel reimbursement - style reward
system, rather than transferring
points to airline and hotel programs, the
value you get with this card is
