the TGS announcement that Deep Down will be free - to - play, it is evident that Capcom are intent on making Deep Down as unique and intriguing as humanly possible.

Since
TGS 2007, when they showed off a new trailer to coincide with the
announcement to move the game to the PlayStation 3, there has been next to no information about the game's release, and no new data has been added to the official website, which remains as just a basic splash page.
Unless Nintendo reinstates Spaceworld or surprisingly shows something at
TGS, and or some other flash megaton showing I don't expect any
announcements till next year.

Gamescom is a month before the release date and they should be far enough done with XV that no one would doubt them so maybe we'll hear something then,
TGS is September so again promotions of XV would be winding down and prepping for release so maybe an
announcement there.
Square Enix made an
announcement at
TGS this morning, an
announcement which I don't think could be personally topped for me this year.
