explosion that maimed and critically injured graduate student Preston Brown.
In January 2010, an
explosion in a chemistry
lab at Texas Tech University (
TTU) in Lubbock seriously injured a graduate student and touched off an investigation by the U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board that led to a groundbreaking report on laboratory safety.
