Crucible contains 5 unique Player vs. Player
modes comprising of two new
modes including Countdown in which a payload must be transported to an
objective in addition to defending it for a timed duration, although the opposing
team will be attacking to prevent the payload from being defended, alongside Survival were
teams can only revive their allies a certain amount of times before their deaths count until the end of the round.
Further multiplayer
modes that are not present from Infinite Warfare include Search and Rescue which sees both
teams take turns to defend and destroy an
objective with the twist being the recovery of dog tags allowing or preventing respawns; Reinforce sees both
teams attempting to capture every point in order to win the round with an added incentive being placed on players capturing points to revive fallen teammates; and Gun Game which tasks every player with the
objective of being the first player to score a kill with each of the provided weapons.
On top of the campaign, there's a full multiplayer
mode that lets
teams of two compete in a couple of different games, like warzone, which gives you a map and drops random
objectives onto it.
There are currently two main
modes available which are great big battles / skirmishes which are large 40 - 60 to 30 - 40 players in combat to take or hold
objectives and a horde like
mode where as a
team of five you have to complete certain
objectives while being pestered by tyranids.
The most interesting
mode is Operations where one
team defends an
objective and the other attacks it, in this case in the level Frozen Dam the ISA has to plant charges to blow up the dam and the Helghast have to stop them from soaking their newly dried uniforms.
After that you try to complete the game
modes objective while competing against the other
team (s).
Scratch One Flattop is a
team deathmatch - like
mode with the added
objective of defending your aircraft carrier and destroying enemies with the bombers and torpedo bombers provided for your
team.
A further form of XP is reputation points which are earned by the race weekend position, achieving
team objectives, winning the rider challenge, achieving a holeshot in races and the difficulty of your chosen game options which is all important as the higher amount of reputation points accumulated will result in an increase in the interest received by sponsors and
teams during Career
mode, therefore you have to earn the next step up with better results rather than it just being handed to you automatically for completing a season.
Players choose an archetype and are placed into
teams of up to 3 players, whereupon they must work together to complete the various
objectives (ranging from delivering a payload to classic deathmatch) provided by the chosen game
mode.
The third
mode is called Control, an asymmetric battle in which one
team must attack and capture two
objectives, while the other
team defends them.

mode with some PvP actions or a capture the flag mini game where with a
team of 6 max on each side or capture the bomb from the first cupple of episodes from the beginng
In terms of game
modes it's also pretty standard fare:
team deathmatch, an
objective - based
mode as well as a horde-esque survival
mode in which you have to defeat waves of dinosaurs.
The game will pit two
teams against each other in various different
objective based
modes.
