ThankYou points for some amazing trips!
Our mainstay for high value hotel
redemptions — Hyatt — doesn't have a property on island, so this is a time when pay - with -
points points like
ThankYou offer a better value than the Marriott or IHG
options.
While this is a great
option for those that might need to top up their account, keep in mind that JetBlue's
redemption program is based upon the cost of a ticket so you might fare better just using your Citi
ThankYou points to book the ticket directly, since it would be eligible to earn TrueBlue
points with JetBlue (instead of transferring them).
As part of the Citi
ThankYou Rewards program, you also have the
options of transferring
points to eleven other airlines, which opens up a lot of
redemption options for future trips.
Of course, the more
ThankYou Points you earn, the better your
redemption options will be.
Thus, there's not a lot of high earning potential for
ThankYou Points with Citi and that means they're not usually a great
option for chasing after
redemptions on premium cabins.
This is something that is often overlooked because it is pretty much the only selling
point for
ThankYou points yet it is one of the weaker
redemption options for Ultimate Rewards
points.
ThankYou cards with no annual fee, such as the AT&T Access card, earn the same
points as the premium cards in the lineup, but the
redemption options are more limited.
ThankYou points can be quite valuable, but the AT&T Access card is a no - fee card, and therefore
redemption options are more limited than with the premium Citi
ThankYou cards.
And, though Citi does boast a wide variety of
redemption options on its rewards portal — including a very large selection of merchandise and the ability to directly redeem rewards
points for Amazon.com merchandise — we don't think that this is a wise use of
