board may issue a license to an individual who holds current clinical certification by the American Association for Marriage and Family
Therapy, however, an applicant for

(4) An applicant for
licensure by endorsement in Montana may be granted a temporary permit to practice marriage and family

(8) If the applicant achieved a passing score on the National Marriage and Family
Therapy Licensing Examination administered by the Association of Marital and Family
Therapy Regulatory
Boards (AMFTRB) as part of the applicant's graduate program, the passing examination score will be accepted for
licensure.
(1) An applicant for
licensure by examination who has completed the education and experience requirements for a marriage and family
therapy license may be granted a temporary permit to practice marriage and family
therapy, provided that an application for Montana
licensure, supporting credentials, and fees has been submitted to the
board.
