Thick windshield pillars can block the driver's line of sight.
Another especially nice feature is the incorporation of small triangular front A-pillar windows that allow you to see people and objects that might otherwise be blocked from view by
the thick windshield pillars.
Outward visibility is good despite fairly
thick windshield pillars, but the rear blind spot is larger than average due to a broad rear roof pillar and a smaller than average rear - quarter window.
It becomes especially troublesome in twisty left - hand bends, as you try to position your head around
the thick windshield pillar to see the road ahead.

The seating position is excellent, but visibility is heavily compromised by a short

Though the
windshield and the side windows are fairly expansive, the
thick pillars do compromise the view out a little bit.
Visibility is also a mixed bag: whilst the large
windshield gives a good view out front, the tiny rear window and incredibly
thick rear
pillars means it's incredibly difficult to detect what's behind you.
The view from the Taurus» driver's seat isn't bad, although we found the wide B -
pillar just behind the driver's head and the front
windshield pillars to be rather
thick, obstructing our side view.
