A study in the literature
showed the liposomal spray which was applied to the closed eye had increased the
thickness of the lipid
layer and improved tear film stability significantly.
Synchrotron X-ray imaging on different species
showed that the transmission
of the sound from the oral cavity to the inner ear has been optimized by two evolutionary adaptations: a reduced
thickness of the tissue between the mouth and the inner ear and a smaller number
of tissue
layers between the mouth and the inner ear.
This allowed the precise molecular composition to be resolved,
showing accurate details
of the model such as the molecular asymmetry and the
thickness of the internal water
layer.
Radar images
show that water under the base
of the ice sheet refreezes into ice, creating a new bottom
layer that accounts for up to half the total
thickness of the ice sheet in some locations.
Already, it has clearly
shown dramatic variations in the
thickness of the
layers along the cliffsides.
A comparison
of the two species, however,
showed differences in the density
of the structures,
thickness of the
layers and mineral content.
But this experiment
shows that even a 2nm (~ 6 atoms)
thickness increase to one single
layer somewhere inside the structure can be sensed if light illuminates the structure at a very specific angle
of incidence.
The secondary endpoint
of change in
thickness of the temporal quadrant and papillomacular bundle
of the retinal nerve fiber
layer from baseline to week 48 demonstrated a large statistically significant difference (p = 0.0359) between all GS010 - treated eyes and all sham - treated eyes, with untreated eyes
showing a loss
of 3.4 μm while treated eyes
showed a limited loss
of 0.6 μm.
Varying the
thickness of the
layers, or the voltage applied to the phase change material, affects what colors each pixel in a display
shows.
The canvas is then stretched «reverse side up» on the frame,
showing the four
layers of paint penetrating the cloth, revealing the time
of completion in the form
of its
thickness and flattening.
His drawings also
show an influence
of sculpture, in the fact that he
layers pages
of paper on top
of each other, sometimes resulting in as much as half an inch in
thickness.
Varying
thicknesses of sea ice are
shown here, from thin, nearly transparent
layers to thicker, older sea ice covered with snow.
Figure 20
shows how the
thickness of the ozone
layer is strongly correlated to the phase change conditions.
The relative humidity suggests as well that the OLR from the water vapour in the spectral regions where figure 6 - A
shows high optical
thickness has been slowly increasing, as the source
of radiation to the cosmos moved to slightly «lower and warmer»
layers.
The last graph, temperatures
of layers with different
thicknesses, is particularly misleading - the large rise in surface temperature (very little energy involved)
shown over the deep
layer temperature changes (a huge amount
of energy) is a case
of apples / oranges.
