Though reviews of the film haven't been very positive, I'm still curious to see Smith explore a different genre for once, especially with veterans like Michael Parks, Melissa Leo and John Goodman spouting his trademark dialogue.

of, say, the previous year's Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, but it did earn a few favorable
reviews even as it repulsed critics such as Roger Ebert.Thereafter, Fleming's career waxed extremely uneven from a critical standpoint,
though his grosses remained generally favorable throughout and the projects kept rolling in.
Relativity raised its average Metascore, reduced its number
of poorly
reviewed films from five to three, and managed to hold onto its 9th - place ranking in domestic market share (

review of Waiting will know that I didn't much care for that

though it did make me laugh on occasion.

though the disc provides no indication
of what's been restored to the
film.
A black comedy about a man who dreams
of being a reality tv contestant, the French / Italian co-production Reality (directed by Matteo Garrone) has attracted rave
reviews at a lot
of 2012's
film festivals, including a Grand Prix win at Cannes,
though it's yet to see a wide release in English - speaking territories.
In addition,
Film Festival Today published my
review of Dunkirk (I seem to be one
of the rare
film critics who did not adore the movie,
though I liked parts
of it).
Now, she told me Wednesday, she just wants people to start judging the
film on its own merits — even
though various marketing decisions, like only lifting the
review embargo at 1 P.M. the day
of release, have made that a challenge.

of his previous performances.
Consider, for instance, that the studio is pumping a lot
of money into an Oscar campaign for its Beauty and the Beast live - action remake because it... doesn't have much else (

Worth seeing,

of it being a five star
film, despite the great performances, I felt a little underwhelmed, perhaps all the critics
reviews had raised my expectations.
The
film itself has received mixed
reviews —
though it's not nearly as bad as the haters would lead you to believe — but one
of the most widely praised comedic aspects
of the
film is also one
of the most unexpected: Chris Hemsworth.
It's a fantastic
film, one
of my favorites
of this fest, even
though I never wrote a
review for it.
He starts with «With old - school scares, stellar camerawork and commendable acting, this
film —
though formulaic — confirms our love
of a good horror flick» but he ends his
review with «The Conjuring, unfortunately, doesn't carry with it the overwhelming scares, the character development or the ingenuity.»
Word quickly came through,
though, starting with Tom Birchenough's
review of Episode One here, that there were many sterling features, not least excellent
filming in locations focused mostly upon Lithuania - cinematographer George Steel deserves a gong or two - and a brace
of excellent performances alongside the not so good.
