I've made a decent profit selling old things I had, valuable books that people placed in the compactor
room as well as some items found at deep discounts either at
thrift stores or the clearance section.
And while I always appreciate a gift and the fact that someone thought of me when they saw those silicon pot holders or these teeny tiny tongs or this decorative cheese knife or that Slap Chop (OK, so maybe the Slap Chop ended up at the
thrift store...), there's only so much
room in my kitchen.
Before we left Grandma's house I washed the clothes and dropped them off at a local
thrift store, this made
room in our luggage for gifts and souvenirs.
I found the perfect color sheet at the local
thrift store to match the color of my little girls
room for only $ 3.00.
I wish I had
room to put
thrift store finds.
I wish we used this dining
room more because it is so lovely and can you believe I found that table and chair set at a
thrift store for only $ 120?
Wear a fitted dress or tee and pants to easily try things on over your clothes (flea markets and some
thrift stores don't have dressing
rooms).

As I was taking these pictures, I realized that 99 % of the things in these
rooms were either DIY projects or they were scored at
thrift stores and yard sales.

The next day we spent shopping
thrift and consignment
stores so I decided to wear something that was fitting
room friendly.
The cargo area is generous, with enough
room for a pile of
thrift store donations that never in a million years looked like it would all fit.
I learned to cook as soon as I moved out, I buy all my clothes (and a lot of other things, too) at
thrift stores, I rarely take a vacation that doesn't involve crashing on someone's couch (though I also rock at Priceline's Name Your Own Price hotel
rooms), and I make heavy use of libraries instead of buying many books.
After many years of renting small, inadequate space for our program and
thrift store operations, AnimalSave purchases the entire property at 520 East Main Street (previously a car dealership) and begins renovating space to move the Cat Adoption
Room and Administration to separate units and expand the
thrift store.

Individual collections include: African art and samurai armour owned by Arman; examples of British vernacular culture from Peter Blake; the eclectic contents of two
rooms from Hanne Darboven's family home in Hamburg; Edmund de Waal's Japanese netsuke; Damien Hirst's skulls, taxidermy and medical models; Indian paintings from Howard Hodgkin; Dr. Lakra's record covers and scrapbooks, Sol LeWitt's Japanese prints, modernist photographs and music scores; 20th century British postcards and Soviet space dog memorabilia from Martin Parr; Jim Shaw's
thrift store paintings; Hiroshi Sugimoto's 18th century French and Japanese anatomical prints and books; Andy Warhol's cookie jars; more than 1,000 scarves and other textiles by the American designer Vera Neumann from Pae White; and a collection of thousands of objects assembled by Martin Wong and subsequently acquired by Danh Vo.
For the lean price of $ 100 (~ $ 135), this painting could be hanging above someone's living
room couch next to that awesome $ 10
thrift store landscape painting.
Individual
rooms hold all manner of sculptures made from used stuffed animals, grimy dolls and tatty, crocheted afghans, often the kind made at home by hobbyists and sooner or later discarded to the bins of the neighborhood
thrift store.
I see these every now and then at
thrift stores and always thought they would be sweet in an up - to - date, modern baby's
room!
I didn't think it would be that hard to find a sofa table for the
room, but honestly I came up pretty empty handed in my shopping at
thrift stores, scouring Craig's List and garage sales.
I purchased this desk chair for my son's
room 10 years ago at the

I have several pieces in my living and dining
rooms that I've picked up at
thrift stores, too.
In this dining
room, Jane painted and distressed the 10 - foot - long heart - pine dining table and complemented the look with a hodgepodge of side chairs scored at a local
thrift store.

After finding an old office mailbox at a local
thrift store, baaramewe gave it a fresh coat of white paint and secured it to the wall of her crafts
room.
Adjacent to our living
room, is our almost entirely
thrifted dining
room (have you sensed that I LOVE a
thrift store find!?).
I've moved the rug into the living
room and the white chairs are here because... well... let's just say $ 5 chairs from the
thrift store that have been sitting outside don't typically last that long.

thrift store score, but I have found some very similar and sourced them for you guys.
When walking into my home I have a small entry space and a large wall.At one time I thought I would put a bench there and maybe a mirror.But having such a small space with a door I did not think a bench would work.I found this piece of furniture a few years ago at a resale shop.I think it fits perfectly in this tight space.There is still plenty of
room for my door to open.My front door is just to the right of the photo... but not seen.I change this often.This time I decided to add a window in front and a few other things too.I love layering pieces together.But I could not stop here.I found this old painting at a
thrift store.
A $ 10 hutch top from the
thrift store becomes a beautiful piece for our dining
room with a little paint and TLC!
