tried specifically for this recipe, but usually it works fine to
substitute the almond
flour with 1/3 of the quantity in coconut
flour, since the coconut
flour absorbs more moisture than almond
flour.

So unfortunately I can't seem to find white whole wheat
flour in my country and buying it online is not an option for me so I
tried to
substitute it with whole wheat
flour (particularly in your carrot cake) using the correct pour and level measurement method as recommended but I found the end result to be cake that was a little doughy, absolutely delicious but a little doughy and I might
try measuring using a kitchen scale in the future but what do you recommend in this case to combat this?

For gluten - free baking,
try substituting teff in part or in whole for wheat

flour here, only whole wheat, and when I do this, the taste is almost the same — just a tad denser and drier.
I would
try starting with a recipe that uses coconut
flour, like this banana blackberry muffin recipe, and
substitute chocolate chips for the blackberries.
If you feel like
trying to up the nutritional content of these babies, I have a feeling you could
substitute 2 cups of whole spelt or wheat
flour for the unbleached
flour.

substituting ingredients, however, you could
try to replace the other 1/4 cup almond
flour with 2 tbsp brown rice
flour or tapioca
flour.
So, in that case, don't
substitute more coconut
flour unless you are going to add more eggs... almond
flour may work Give that a
try.
You may be able to
substitute almond
flour, I just haven't
tried it.

trying to make it grain - free, perhaps you could come up with a combination of chickpea
flour and and almond
flour that might be a better
substitute.
I know others will
try to tell you to
substitute oat
flour for regular
flour when baking.
But if you'd still like to
try making these Paleo pancakes, the only
substitute I know of for almond
flour in Paleo baking is sunflower seed
flour.
The only thing I
substituted was I didn't have potato starch, so I first

flour, made into a paste, as a
substitute for the eggs, it turned out quite nicely.The rice
flour and gram
flour are used as thickening agents in Indian cooking and they
substitute well for eggs.
A quick tip to share for your homemade tortillas -
try substituting tapioca
flour for some of the masa harina (our recipe: 1 1/2 cups masa harina + 1/2 cup tapioca
flour + 1/2 tsp sea salt + 1 1/2 cups very hot water).
I'm sure the protein powder can be
substituted with a
flour of some sort but I have not
tried it.
