This is similar to the surgical outcome of the tibial
tuberosity transposition (TTT).
The most accepted surgical approach in small dogs is known as the trochleoplasty, tibial
tuberosity transposition.
Other procedures such as the Tibial
Tuberosity Transposition may also be utilized depending on the case.
After a tibial
tuberosity transposition, radiography should be performed at 6 to 8 weeks to evaluate bone healing before the patient is allowed to engage in increased activity.
My canine has had bilateral trochlear wedge recessions, tibial
tuberosity transpositions, and stifle corrections with a lateral imbrication along with a medial release on the right stifle after a diagnosis of bilateral grade III / IV MPL.
