Unfortunately, not all Wii
U games support the Pro Controller.
Currently only three Wii
U games support Amiibo features — Super Smash Bros, Hyrule Warriors, and Mario Kart 8 — and of them only Smash utilizes the entire line in a real capacity.
The original Wii
U game supported the Toad amiibo, but this functionality has yet to be confirmed for the re-releases.

game developers other than Nintendo.

With Bethesda's upcoming AAA
game lineup, including The Elder Scrolls Online, Wolfenstein: The New Order, and The Evil Within, all skipping out on Wii
U platform launches, one might wonder where all of the third party
support for Nintendo's console is going.
While Ubisoft is no longer making Wii
U or Nintendo 3DS
games, that doesn't mean they didn't create several worth playing while they continued their
support of both systems.
Two Tribes is also continuing their
support of the Wii
U by bringing the original Toki Tori
game to the platform.
While the result of the situation could sway multiple ways, it is worth noting that Atlus
games has been recently
supporting Nintendo platforms quite a bit and even has a cross over
game with Intelligent Systems on the way for Wii
U, a
game better known as Fire Emblem x Shin Megami Tensei.
Such a disappointment that Kingdom Hearts 3 isn't coming to the Wii
U after Nintendo has
supported the DS and 3DS versions of the
games....
Coming to both Wii
U and 3DS, the
game will
support four player local co-op.
Super Smash Bros. on Wii
U will be one of the first
games to
support Nintendo's new «amiibo» figurine platform.
New Super Mario Bros
U will
support co-op multiplayer where up to 4 players can play at the same time, and it will integrate Miiverse deeply into the
game, where players can leave messages for each other before the levels, join
games together, and more.
I feel this
game is an exclusive not because Nintendo want it only for Wii
U, i feel this
game to be exclusive because PS360 can't
support it, come on, it's only the beginning of the new console and must show us not only a great innovation, also must beats without a doubt the current generation consoles IMO.
Get Mario
games if you want — I will — but if 3rd party means anything to you buy those first and get Mario further down the line — if Marios sales were a bit slow, the next one will come to Wii
U because Nintendo HAS to
support Wii
U, 3rd parties don't and they will go to PS4 and
U will miss out.
biggest issue with the Wii
U is their ignorance of North America, their poor online experience and slow
game turnover rate generic 3rd party
support is almost dead on Wii
U, so its good to see Nintendo going to other companies to make some exclusive titles for them (hyrule warriors, fatal frame) lets hope this trend continues

And for all those saying «Wii
U is doomed» lets wait'til after E3 as Nintendo would not even consider dropping
support for Wii
U until after they'd release those
games.
If you want to vote with your wallet, it's better you just skip the
game altogether and voice your concerns to the dev or prove the developer / publisher wrong and show your
support for the Wii
U version and get it.
I hope I'm wrong and i it comes out with amazing Wii
U gamepad
support that completely changes the
game and comes with all the DLC but I suspect IF it turns up it'll have the stuff from the tablet app... Maps mostly
Ironically, if
games like this perform well on the Wii
U sales-wise, more 3rd - party
support from smaller developers will come.

Two Tribes was an early supporter of the Wii
U with Toki Tori 2 and has even brought most of its classic
games to the platform, so it's nice to see them continuing to
support the Wii
U even after financial difficulties.
In addition to the Wii
U games, the console
supports games from GameCube, Wii, N64, and other systems as well through Wii
U backwards compatibility.

Obviously Dragon Quest X will not be the only Wii
U game to
support Wi - Fi, but considering the dearth of Wii online
games that are still played today... well, Nintendo needs to do more than just hope.
The bundle, which includes three 3DS
games, three Wii
U games and two
games for both systems, also
supports the charity Code.org.
Indeed, the way I see it is they have a bunch of Amiibo for Smash Wii
U already to
support the
game as is.
We're good for being early adopters, but like the Wii
U has shown (and sales of Wii
games late in its life, like Skyward Sword only selling a few million on a 100 million console base) there's only so many of us and Nintendo needs more to be
supported.
Game maker was supposed to
support Wii
U and they told the Hyper Light Drifter dev so, so he included it in the Kickstarter.
But so that Wii
U continues to get
games like Project Cars, I personally will
support them with a Wii
U purchase, and probably on Steam as well so I can play around with settings.
To be fair, you can't blame them, their
game probably sold nothing on Wii
U and the console also bombed which wasn't too encouraging for 3rd parties to keep the
support going.
If anything a big release like this and DQXI is good enough
support since not even the Wii
U got a multiplat DQ
game outside of the already - on - wii DQX
3rd parties still make
games for vita but hate Wii
U to even
support that, it really shows just how much they hate Nin & pride Sony over them.
Nah, this is very likely to just be a leftover Wii Retail download they want to release, since they started
supporting the Wii
U's eShop with retro
games just a month ago with the two GBA Rayman
games.
This would definitely help curb their problem of ending
support quickly when a new console drops, but I can see people responding to a One X2 the way the world responded to Wii
U: it plays the same
games and more, but is perceived as an optional attachment rather than successor.
Activision threw some
support out for the Wii
U today when it highlighted six
games that they have set for release this fall.
The Cursed Tiki Temple level pack and new Skylanders Senseis will
support all major gaming platforms including Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Wii
U ™ system; Xbox 360 ™ and Xbox One ™ video
game and entertainment systems from Microsoft; and PlayStation ® 3 and PlayStation ® 4 computer entertainment systems.
PS Vita and Wii
U were abandoned by Sony and Nintendo respectively, so yes, there won't be
games coming out from them, although PS Vita is still very much
supported by third parties.
Support for the Wii version of the
game is being dropped altogether, but Wii
U will continue for the foreseeable future.
