Unfortunately, these same mechanisms were found in the hosts (
dogs and cats) and killing fleas was a matter of using enough insecticide to kill the flea, but not enough to kill or
injure the host.
Unfortunately, apparently only the ever - lengthening numbers of lawsuits filed by
injured volunteers, and ever - increasing amounts of payout, appear likely to persuade the animal sheltering community that volunteers should never have unsupervised contact of any sort with
dogs of dangerous breed or history, and that supervised contact should be done only under the supervision of appropriately trained animal care & control professionals, with the knowhow, experience, and equipment to stop
dog attacks within seconds ---- or, better yet, prevent them.
Unfortunately, blocky headed

dogs and have access to firearms.
