I just recently started
using my homemade deodorant, I found on The Elliot Homestead blog, very similar to this
recipe with the exception of the lavender
essential oil & the ingredient ratio.
On my last mint
recipe, many of you commented suggesting I
use peppermint

essential oils that I recommend in the
recipe and it causes your mouth to burn, trying swishing some olive or coconut
oil in your mouth to further dilute.
You could also
use any
essential oil to your liking; since there is
oil in this
recipe you don't have to worry about
using an
oil that will irritate your skin.
I always
use the
recipe on The Imagination Tree — this time I added 5 drops of Strawberry
essential oil to the boiling water before adding it to the other ingredients to flavour it with strawberry.
Simply wet any of these cloths with warm water or a homemade mixture — you can find

use water, a little liquid soap, and sometimes a drop or two of
essential oil).
When you first start

oil» and might think «what the heck is that?»

recipe for dishwasher detergent (Borax free) that i found quite impressive: 1/4 c. citric acid 1 cup washing soda 1/4 c. coarse salt Distilled white vinegar (in the rinse aid compartment) 10 - 15 drops of citrus
essential oil (You can
use whatever you like) Mix the first three ingredients well, then add
essential oil in it and finally the distilled white vinegar.
Ultimately it depends on the
essential oil and what it's being
used for, but for simplicity and safety, the
recipes below are
using the.25 % recommendation.

oil with emulsifying wax and gold mica, frankincense and myrrh

One solution here is to just remove the baking soda from the original
recipe, and
use equal parts of shea butter, coconut
oil and arrowroot powder with
essential oils for scent, though some people find this isn't as effective as the
recipe with baking soda.
Then I stumbled on a
recipe using coconut
oil, baking soda, starch of your choice (I
use arrowroot, tapioca, corn or potato) and lavender
essential oil.

I made the majority of the soap in a silicone bread pan
