Volante and Lagonda received the Weber electronic fuel injection system to replace the carburettors in an effort to reduce emissions and fuel consumption.
Then in the mid 1980's came the awesomely powerful
V8 Vantage Zagato (plus the
Volante too).
Following the unveiling of the first
V8 Vantage Zagato with
Volante coachwork at the Geneva Motor Show in 1987, AML took the decision to produce the car as so but to placate the owners of the original Vantage Zagato, the
Volante Zagato would receive the less powerful fuel injected V585
V8 engine.
The DB11
Volante is being introduced with Aston Martin's new 503 brake horsepower, 5.0 - litre, twin - turbocharged
V8, sourced from technical partner Mercedes - AMG.
