Vegan Day at my local Williams Sonoma.

But it is
day - to -
day food waste - both
at home and in supply chains - that can make any diet unsustainable whether you choose to be
vegan, vegetarian, a meat eater or a combination of these.

The sweetie - pie folks over

I'm picturing it now, being absolutely STARVING after a
day out
at the pool, this
vegan strawberry banana smoothie will definitely be my go to for a quick, healthy, sweet snack.

I've made them twice before, and they didn't even make it through the
day — the family all scarfed them down (even the one who usually turns his nose up

vegan).
Since it was New Year's
Day, I was wanting «good luck» foods, and I had already enjoyed griddled tempeh with maple syrup and

At the end of the

These
vegan game
day snacks will please everyone
at your Super Bowl party!
Well, back in the
day when I was slingin» pizzas
at Whole Foods, we made a special
vegan pizza using hummus as a replacement for the sauce and cheese.
But it's Lorenzo's fault, who came
at home one
day telling me that he wanted a healthier and
vegan version of the amazing dish he often finds
at the office for lunch.
It's still not completely clear if he's 100 %
vegan, but he talks earnestly
at the end about a strategy that seems much more attainable for non-vegans who may be watching: Rather than advising a complete lifestyle change, he tells them to just cut meat out one
day, two
days at a time.
As for the nuts issue, as the parent of
vegan elementary school children, I have to admit it would be nice to be able to send nuts in for snack (we are allowed to
at lunch), but even if I couldn't, there are many other times during the
day I can find an opportunity to give them an ounce or two of nuts — like breakfast, after school snack, dinner and dessert!
