Hi there I am assuming that
Vellum create an ePub 3 version of the book as it's iPad friendly fortunately I use a Mac and have been doing a lot of my ebook conversion using InDesign followed by changing code to make it look pretty... however all this takes considerable time I haven't created one yet but before I go the whole hog and purchase I really need to know if it created the latest ePub i.e 3 etc and create perfect code
so I don't keep having to mess with it after validating which takes sometimes hours to do.
Vellum is only made for macOS,
so it will only work on Mac desktops or laptops.
Also,
Vellum isn't available as an iOS app,
so it wouldn't work on an iPad.
Unlike
Vellum or Scrivener, it's all web based
so there's nothing to download, which is nice.
So basically, right now I'm wavering between using Scrivener, which I already own, or spending money for
Vellum, which may or may not make the process smoother, easier, and prettier.
I update all my back matter links with store specific links using
Vellum (
so easy to do compared to when I was compiling the ebook with Scrivener).

My aim was to deal with formatting
so I purchased the
Vellum program.
I format my own books, using
Vellum,
so that I can make them look pretty.
So when I heard that
Vellum was releasing a version that would produce PRINT versions of my titles, I jumped at the opportunity to upgrade.
And
so we wanted to make the experience of creating a print book be just as easy and fun as creating eBooks with
Vellum.
So you just add one store link and then when you hit generate
Vellum will use the link for Amazon, when it builds a Kindle book it'll use the link to the iBook store when it builds the book for iBooks.
