vintage pieces do cardinally change your fashion game!
Obviously I need to have it cleaned professionally when I get back to LA, but in the mean time as long as your vintage piece doesn't have a really weird smell (which you probably wouldn't buy to begin with) this is a great trick to feel a little more secure in a vintage coat if you want to wear it right away.

pieces by themselves with nothing tacked up to them, especially to show off the kind of intricate, pretty or
vintage fabrics that we all have in our collection but don't know what to

vintage pieces get sold, nice contemporary
pieces go to a consignment store, and everything that doesn't fit either of those categories gets donated to charities.

I hope that my reply here has helped to show you that one doesn't necessarily need a wardrobe with 25, 30, 50 or more different types of garments (though of course, it can have that many, if you so desire, don't get me wrong), but instead that one of the best ways to create a killer wardrobe is with different multiples of the kinds of
pieces that look best on you and which channel whatever kind of
vintage look you're after.
I
did this by combining sleek new
pieces, like the gold Kohler Purist faucets and the clean round mirror, with timeless finishes, like the classic subway tile for the shower walls, and the white hex tile for the floors, as well as adding in some
vintage pieces like this walnut credenza.

In the winter, I tend to invest in a handful of classic, lifelong coats, knitwear and boots and wear them to death, whereas once it warms up I like to be a bit more frivolous, looking to the high street and
vintage stores for carefree, throw - on
pieces that can get covered in sand, mud and grass stains and I don't really care.
Don't have expectations: telling yourself I'm going to find a
vintage jean jacket or the perfect fitting jeans is not always realistic, while it would be great if you
