I'm very happy to treat myself to the medicine these
artists have concocted, and grateful to the
folks at
Visual AIDS for giving me the opportunity to dip into this deep pool of insights.

visual and performing arts (Fig. 8).
The exhibition demonstrates how Russian icon painting and
folk art influenced the
artist's
visual language, and highlights the variety of his oeuvre through the presentation of a vast number of oil paintings, gouaches, drawings, and sculptures.
