I personally love the convenience of adding this to
recipes to amp up nutrition but can easily just be added to
water, favorite milk or by whipping into a shake and you've got yourself covered with
vitamins and minerals in one drink!
This
recipe is similar to what I've been drinking in the morning except I add 2 tbs of ground flax seed, 1 serving of a vegan protein mix, liquid
vitamins and some psyllium husk fiber to it with
water (no coconut
water).
Even though the
recipe calls for quite a bit of sugar, the beneficial bacteria in the
water kefir grains consume this (like food), as they metabolize the sugar, they produce beneficial bacteria, B
vitamins, beneficial acids and food enzymes (helpful for digestion).
Fresh fruits and veggies,
vitamins, minerals, plenty of
water and lean meats are great
recipe for healthy eating.
