Last year the 7th March saw the event Hatsune Miku Symphony 2017 which involved
vocaloid songs blended with classical instruments via the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.
Vocaloid songs are generally known for their inherently accurate vocal timing, and make use of tricks that are hard (or impossible) for real humans.
The Project Diva series is a result of Hatsune Miku's «career», curating the best
Vocaloid songs from her and other Crypton - created models.
While the console Project Diva games are known for an extensive song list choosing the best
Vocaloid songs, Future Tone ups the ante with over 220 songs included across two DLC packs.
You'll find piano melodies,
vocaloid songs, dance music, and even dubstep - like beats here — most seeming to be from Asian sources.
When one of the 38 included
Vocaloid songs is playing, the lyrics scroll along the bottom of the screen.
Sega and Crypton Future Media dumped a few of the Hatsune Miku
Vocaloid songs on a PSP UMD, along with an editor that would allow players to create their own videos and tracks, and it exploded.
Froggie's YouTube channel, which primarily consists of videos covering anime and
vocaloid songs, has more than 11,000 subscribers.
Because she's covering
vocaloid songs, however, her own videos have also been hidden from anyone viewing YouTube in the US.

songs.

The game is still Japan exclusive and takes the form of a
Vocaloid - powered rhythm game featuring new characters and
songs developed by renowned
Vocaloid artists such as daniwell - P (the famed composer of a rather popular internet meme).
Here, the entire point of the series is to specifically focus on
songs that
Vocaloid fans have crafted, from budding musicians working out of their living rooms to the big time producers who make Miku and company come to life in their spare time.
Though a couple of my more recent favorite Miku tunes didn't make the cut (notably «Love
Song,» featured in last year's Project Diva X), I am overwhelmed by what Sega's latest
vocaloid rhythm game has to offer.
In fact, if someone has enough time on their hands, they can even change the shape of the
Vocaloids» mouths to make them lip sync along with the
songs.
If someone has enough time and patience, they could even make the
Vocaloid look like he or she is lip - syncing along with the
song.
These can be spent on modules and accessories, which change a
Vocaloid's appearance when she or he is performing a
song, or they can be spent on items that can be used in the Miku Room.
My personal favorite of these is in the video for the
song «Remote Control» which begins with
vocaloid Rin playing her Sega Dreamcast.
Even better for eager
vocaloid - otaku is SEGA's pledge to bring over DIVA F 2nd's downloadable content, expanding an already substantial roster of
songs.
If you're someone who's not used to the whole
Vocaloid scene, the
songs in Project Diva can be a bit of a stumbling block for some players.
It's amusing if you're a hardcore fan of the
Vocaloids, but it's a bit barebones from what you'd normally expect as a «story» mode and feels more like fluff to get people to try out the different
songs they might not otherwise attempt normally as you need to clear at least a specific high score to move on.
You can give gifts that you earn by playing the
songs to each of the six
Vocaloids, in turn raising your friendship level with them.
I can't even begin to describe how many times I'd start watching what Miku or her
vocaloid friends would be doing in the accompanying video, thus getting lost within the
song or missing button prompts altogether.

Instead, it's the artists using the
Vocaloids that define their personality, usually within the context of a
song.
Hopefully, if SEGA does release additional
songs via DLC, they'll pay a bit more attention to the other
Vocaloids.
It also helps that there's something for everyone interested in
Vocaloid, from the hard - rocking Senbonzakura to classics like I'll Miku Miku You (For Reals) to memes like the Nyan Cat
song.
