What a crock this woman is and the sad part is that those who don't know the Word and
walk by faith will easily believe this garbage.
Now
faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things
not seen, and
by walking in
faith, God's glory is revealed to those that believe.
Jeremy it just hit me like a bolt of lightning i am so excited about this thought that salvation has nothing to do with eternal life but is speaking of losing the ability to be an overcomer in Christ.Having been there as a carnal christian i always believed in Jesus but i felt i did
nt have the power to live a christian life so i felt like a hippocrite i was still subject to sin and sinful desires. So in that sense i had never received salvation because i had never been an overcomer in the first place. So i can see how a christian could lose there salvation having once
walked by faith but that does
nt effect there eternal life in Christ.Just so others know i am now
walking by faith and am an overcomer i know what it is like to experience the power of the holy spirit and to
not be overcome
by my old nature that is what Jesus wants us all to experience rather than being a victim of the enemy.Whether we are an overcomer or
not does
nt effect our eternal life.brentnz
Craig that was exactly my understanding however if we believe that in that traditional sense a person could lose there eternal life
by there actions
by not walking in the Lord which i do
nt think is right as eternal life is a free gift from God
not based on works.Jeremys definition is that we are saved
by faith in Jesus Christ to eternal life.I believe the term salvation has the meaning to be saved
not necesarily to eternal life but saved from ourselves Christ gives us the power to be transformed into his likeness or to be Christ like.In the eternal picture our actions determine how we are rewarded from God although its
not the motivation of the reward but because we love the Lord.regards brent
The concept of once saved always saved takes a bit to get your head around but Gods grace is greater than our sin and greater than our good works it just takes
faith in Jesus Christ to recieve Gods grace. In saying that to continue to sin as a christian is like playing with fire you will be burnt.Paul talks of the sexual immorality in corinthian church of the son and father that were sleeping with the same wife they were excommunicated from the church the members were
not allowed to even eat with them until they repented. There are consequences for our actions. The other side to this is that if you continue to sin as a christian you are
not walking by faith but
walking by the flesh and are really backsliding. In the backslidden state you also become powerless and open to attack
by satan as long as we
walk in the flesh he can influence us to get worse
not better.If we are
walking in Christ satan may still try to tempt us but we are empowered
by the holy spirit and overcome him and our
faith increases.Both are saved
by grace but one is powerless because of sin versus saved but an overcomer having been set free from sin i think this is what Paul was trying to explain. It is better to be an overcomer than overcome
by sin.brentnz

Personally i think those specific prayers are a distraction most of the times we pray these prayers because its what we think we need and often thats
not the case. The better way is to just trust the holy spirit let him lead i think we miss the awesomeness of doing it Gods way its easy
not difficult. The struggle is difficult when we are
walking by the flesh and trying to do it our way. When i got to the point where i said to the God i am
not going to do it my way anymore and i submit to you because know whats best for me.Change me and when i feel the wrong desires or temptation to
walk by the flesh i just say Lord you know i am weak and i can
not live a christian life without you help me.As soon as i do that it is effortless theres no struggle thats how we should grow.I am excited with what God is doing in my life he has opened his word i am seeing the fruit of his life impacting mine and i am changing day

Though we do
not see how our actions might affect the future, though we may
not receive our inheritance right now, though we might go through persecution and trials and nakedness and danger and sword, if we just put our
faith in God, as we keep our eyes on Jesus, «Keep the Son in our eyes,» as we, like Peter, keep our eyes on Jesus rather than on the rolling waves around us, we will
walk by faith.
The apostle Paul wrote that genuine Christians «are

4:3 - 9, etc.), but in relation to the eschaton,
faith is the experience of fear, of doubt and of absence, for, precisely, the Christian
walks by faith,
not by vision (2 Cor 5:7).
It would be a strange thing, would it

What God is looking for is repentence and a turning to him rather than a turning away from him.God instituted the animal sacrifices to show just how bad sin was so we would be sorry that we greived him.For us to be made right there has to be a choice to turn from sin and follow him and out of that decision there should be a desire to
walk in his ways.Under the old law part of that obedience was to make offerings however it was
by faith in God that made the person righteous and
not the blood of animals.
You say she has no proof that she has seen angels but do you have proof that she has
not see angels and if you have proof that she has

Herein lies the power of the supernatural: We

Personally we should expect persecution when we are following Jesus and
walking by the spirit Jesus said that as he was persecuted so will we.It may
not be to the same extent that other believers in foreign countries who are losing there lives for there
faith. But persecution for righteousness is necessary for us to grow in our
faith just as a tree that is buffeted
by winds grows stronger roots. You could call these tests or trails or tribulations or persecutions of a type. What ever comes our way we know that all things work for good to those who love the Lord.brentnz
I think we agree on the fact that it is
by faith that all are saved i have no problem with that and its in that that there is unity. You find within any christian modern church law can be mixed with Grace that is
not peculiar to any domination maybe it is more extreme in some.Where there are believers there are works of the flesh such as pride and self reliance.I was thinking today the word says if we believe in our hearts and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord then you shall be saved. Its
not a hard doctrine to believe thats in its basic form. The seventh day have tacked on to that belief adherence to the sabbath that is sadly how denominations spring up.In the anglican church we still recite the apostles creed how many church still do that today as a basis for there
faith in Jesus Christ.Your statement that some are saved is just as true to those who go to modern christian churchs who say they are christian but
walk according to the flesh..
I certainly hope for the Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, as I would hope for myself and others with me, if found out to be of Christian
faith and a modern order,
not unlike the Christians who
walked with Jesus as a man and Pastor who, as it were, was finally offered up as a sacrificial offering to God upon a cross after being found guilty of offending the then Church of Israel who then proposed his death sentance to be carried out
by a Roman Court, though he was innocent of the charges.

Tim i found it liberating to just do what the Lord wants you to do i work within his boundarys and yes i attend church and enjoy it.I love the people and i love hearing the word and worshipping the Lord even if others are still bound up with traditions thats
not my
walk thats theres. My focus is to do what the Lord wants me to do.There have been times i have said no to the pastor he does
nt understand why i choose
not to lead the worship.i query him as well regarding the idea that its
not just performing a function because there is a need our hearts have to be in the right place so that the Lord can use us but he did
nt understand where i was coming from and thats okay because of that i just said no until my heart is right i am better
not being involved in leading. But i am happy to be an encouragement to others in the worship team i havent wanted to be the leader i have done that in the past.So my focus has been just the singing and being part of different worship teams i think the Lord has other plans as the groups i am in seem to be changing at the same time i am aware that i do
nt to worry about change as the Lord knows whats best.I used to be quite comfortable leading the music but that was before when i was operating in my own self confidence and pride. The Lord did such a huge change in my life that i lost my self confidence and that is
not a bad thing at all as my spiritual growth has been incredible. The big change was my identity moved from me and what i could do to knowing who i was in Christ and that he is my strength and confidence. Now i know that without him i can do nothing in fact i am dependent on his empowerment through his holy spirit all the time in everything. In the weekend i was asked to lead the music at another church i attend multiple churchs although i attend two regularly one has services in the morning and one has services in the evening so the two do
nt really clash. In the weekend i was asked to lead the music its been two years since i did that and i was worried on how i would go.All i can say is that it went really well and because i stepped out in
Faith the Lord really blessed the morning to the congregation. The difference is knowing that i serve the Lord with the gifts he has given me but my heart has to be right and when i do it in his way it builds up the body and it brings glory to him.May the Lord continue to show you what he wants you to do even though others may
not understand your reasons i just want you to know that you do
nt have to pull away completely just work within the boundarys that the Lord gives you and do
nt feel pressured
by others expectations to do anything that feel uncomfortable.Be involved just as you feel lead
by the holy spirit even if it is in a very minor way take small steps.regards brentnz

Had another thought on this Go and sin no more in the first instance when the pharisees were condemning the woman Jesus says you without sin cast the first stone thats present tense when he said Go and sin no more that future tense he is letting us know that since we all are sinners deserving of death he does
not condemn us but came to save us and we see him do that for the woman caught in sin as we all are.Humanly speaking none of us can
walk without sinning it is impossible unless we submit ourselves to Christ and
walk by faith by the holy spirit and we can do all things through Christ that strengthens us.brentnz
Even after being a Christian 27 years I know I am very capable of acting from my flesh instead of
by faith in the indwelling Spirit to
walk righteously and
not fulfill the lusts of the flesh.
If you are living righteously
by walking in
faith, but all of a sudden you find yourself in some sin, and Satan has, through his wily schemes, gotten one of his flaming darts in, and he comes in and starts to taunt you — «Oh, a Christian wouldn't do that.
By the time you reach church on Sunday and hear that the person you've been discipling is
walking into your promise of ministry this season, you are aware of only two things: There is
not nearly enough air in the church and there is a gaping hole in your heart where
faith and expectation should be.
I think that is why we (as St. Paul says) «
walk by faith and
not by sight»
Neville you are quite right it is a process of growing i do
nt believe Jeremy is saying we should sit there like a lump of clay and do nothing. But rather than doing something thinking that that will add to the work of Christ is pointless. We are expected to
walk by faith but alot of what is expected from the church or others are dead works and are done because the church expects us to do them. The way around this is to say no just do what the Lord wants you to and please him put him first. That way you are still
walking by faith and growing in Christ rather than wasting time just trying to keep something going that needs to die so that Christ can be elevated to the highest position.brentnz
I also was powerless in regard to my old nature it had power over me.i came to the point that i needed to do something because i felt like spiritually i was dying and again it was
by faith in Jesus Christ that changed me and that i admitted that i could
nt live the christian life in my strength.Since then i have continued to
walk by faith daily and i know what it means to be saved in this life we have power over our old nature through Christ that strengths us Personally i think this is a major reason why many christians are
not growing and maturing as they should. Many people are struggling in there
faith that is
not how it is meant to be the word says we are overcomers more than conquerers through Christ that strengthens us.If you are struggling are you
walking by faith or just doing good christians works that have no power to change your life Just admit that you cant do it in your strength let him empower you
by his holy spirit to do what you cant.It has been a hard road to get here but i am never going back to living
by works when you find the truth there is no comparison brentnz

We

Paul argues that we do
not have a licence to sin.because of grace If christians continue to sin and grieve the holy spirit they clearly arent
walking by faith or abiding in Christ. There has to be an ongoing repentence in the christians
walk that leads that person to become more like Christ. It is true that salvation is a gift of grace received
by faith however the word also says that we called to
walk by faith otherwise it is impossible to please God and if we love him we follow his commands
not willfully disobey.If we do
nt continue to abide in Christ and turn from sin then i think we can risk Christ saying to us that he never knew us.Like everything that God offers us we must meet his conditions that are only possible in Christ..
Martin it is
not by works that we are saved but
by grace that none should boast.Works do
not get us us closer to God but good works come from a heart that loves God and desires to please him.John 3:16 is clear if we believe in Jesus Christ we shall have eternal life it is based
not on what we do or have done but
by the grace of God that has been poured out upon us because of Jesus Christ.God always gives us assurances or promises the condition to receive eternal life is to believe in Jesus Christ as the one who has saved from our sin.Personally i believe that the continued
walk will determine our reward from the Lord again its
not based on our effort but a trust or
faith in God.This does
not effect the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
