Google is aiming to have
apps download away from any phone, in an attempt to make the
watches act as more independent devices.
The
watch is supposed to run a variety of
apps for activities like cycling, golfing or running, using the accelerometers to
act as an activity monitor, sort of like the Nike Fuelband.
Version 2.0 also adds
watch face «Complications,» which mimic subdials and
act like miniature widgets for notifications and shortcuts for
apps.
