i actually think Connor Wickham and Shane Long are ample replacement for
Welbeck, both are Journey man in regards to the league, still fairly young, both
have good
pace, can play the wide role / forward and

I wouldn't be against
having Walcott, Sanchez and
Welbeck on from the start for some serious
pace.
He got quite a few more chances yesterday and now we
have the added threat of serious
pace on both flanks, with

If we
had more than four minutes to enjoy our lead, Hull
would have had to come out of their shells more and we could
have used our
pace and the ability of players like
Welbeck and Alexis to exploit the extra space.
I figure Janssen was not look at because he lacked
pace, so if we
had bought him, it
would have been to replace Giroud and not
Welbeck and thats a no no for wenger.

welbeck has all the attributes (
pace, power, agility, can dribble past 1 or 2 defenders) all he needs to improve on is finishing and he will come good.

welbeck but liked what I
've seen of him, his tracking back,
pace and energy is good for the team, he should score more goals and will do I'm sure of it.
1) On the pitch: - we always start 3 -4-3 but always switch back to a back 4... it isn't tactical as we look bad in both - Bellerin playibg LWB when you
have the best in the bundesliga last season on the bench -
Welbeck playing the striker role when he can do everything but score when you
have Lacazette a record signing on the - Monreal in back 3 when you
have Kostafi who can flank Per in the middle protecting him against
pace as well as
having a commending figure and - Telling Xhaka to not play as a 3rd offensive player when Ramsey dashes - Playing a guy in Ox so out of position and persisting with him over preseason as if he
would be there for years when it is clear he doesn't want to play for us (his case is a weird one)
He
would probably
have been left out of the two cup games anyway and maybe even the EPL games which are likely to be heavily dominated by us and therefore suited more to Giroud's target man attributes than
Welbeck's
pace and running.
And you can't teach
pace, power, and his runs which
welbeck has.
I
have no doubt that danny
welbeck will be great for arsenal, he
has power,
pace, height and the knack to get n the right positions, arsenal
have a ton loads of people who can assist but not many finishers.
Welbeck will
have to rely on his
pace to beat the Belgian, as the City captain is sure to be too powerful for the young Englishmen.
At this time we
have the opportunity to revert to old ways by using players with
pace in the squad as strikers, many fans and myself feel we
have better opportunities to win games using this format, with
Welbeck as forward it even becomes more apparent, he
has the skill sets to evolve into the Henry / Wright Hybrid.
I
would not go for the big name strikers, i like the columbian Ibarbo, a lot of
pace and very good with his feet, but believe it or not MY choice
would be
Welbeck he loves making runs behind the defense with his
pace, a hard worker and
would fit arsenal to the TEE.
The
pace of
Welbeck, Alexis and the Ox along with the vision of Cazorla gave us lots of chances to kill the game, but Adrian was
having as good a game in their goal as Szczesny was in ours.
Basically thierry was saying that the whole spine of the team needed strengthening, ok he stressed a striker but that could
have been that our goal scorers with
pace are not good enough, ie
welbeck or sanchez.
I think this is a match for
Welbeck or Ox because we need there

would recommend that for the second leg in Monaco Gabriel should replace Mertesacker, Monreal replaces Gibbs, Walcott replaces
Welbeck because of his
pace and the fact that he can easily score goals, Oxlade replaces Ozil and Rosicky remains on standby to replace Cazorla at the earliest opportunity should Cazorla show no fight.
Not to mention he
has pace and not afraid to attack narrow, which tends to leave players like
Welbeck and of course Walcott thinking that they really don't
have to track him.
The funny thing is Giroud who does track back
would never be made to play in another position for a string of games to try and develop him, Wenger
would stick with him up front and will do even with
Welbeck's superior movement and
pace.
Welbeck has size and strength as well as
pace so will Wenger see him as a direct challenger or cover for Giroud through the middle?

have some kinda faith in
Welbeck, like he could and
would become something great for us (he's got height, strength,
pace, can dribble and isn't afraid to shoot from afar).

have welbeck and giroud and the cf will be wc my choice is benzema a mixture of hold up, fast attacking,

Slimani or Perez it really does not matter both are good goal scorers, good
pace, good finishers and works hard for the team, my preference
would be Perez a good replacement for
welbeck, but a lot more technical and a better finisher.
I think Giroud
has better sense of positioning than Welb in the middle and
Welbeck can use his
pace better from the wing.Both of those players are not top class players but with a aquad of sanchex, Walcot, Chambo the goals can be shared.
We
have Debuchy, Sanchez, Ramsey, Wilshere, Campbell, Rosicky, Chamberlain, Walcott,
Welbeck... All these players
have pace and work rate, as well as technical skill, but we can't tell them to press high when they lose the ball or to bring chaos to the opponent's defence because not only do we lack cover in midfield and central defense, we also play them out of position.
On the other hand
Welbeck Walcott
have dribbling and
pace but not the height and finishing.
I
would also start
Welbeck to inject some
pace and power on the wing.
Giroud will
have his hands full against the excellent Shackell and Duff in the centre of their defence but if the big man can keep them busy it will allow the
pace, power and silky skills of players like Alexis, Ozil, Cazorla, Ramsey and
Welbeck to open them up.
Certainly
having Welbeck back is great news, because he brings power and
pace upfront, and he'll generally freshen up our stale attacking play.
I think its worth playing Giroud bcos vs barca we will need
pace on the counter (not girouds strong point) and set pieces cud be key (Walcott isn't exactly a tank) Who

I really hope that all these guys gel and can use their
pace to great effect, my fear is that in Walcott, campbell,
welbeck, gnabry, chamberlain and even sanchez in some respect we
have so many similar players that concentrate on their speed, hoping that rather than the their technical attributes will be the undoing of the opposition.
He also
has to decide whether the
pace and strength of
Welbeck or the guile of an Ozil or Cazorla
would serve us better in the wide areas.
