Wenger is our main striker.
Not exact matches

being the issue, perhaps
Wenger already thinks that he has enough options up front, as Le Prof seems to believe that Walcott will act as a
main striker this season.
My
main question
is why
Wenger sold Podolski if he couldn't find a
striker?
Yeah and that
's probably why
Wenger has offered him the number 9 shirt and told him that he will
be our
main striker??
Given Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mesut Ozil will also
be knocking on the door for a place in the starting line - up to provide the creative class behind the
main striker, it remains to
be seen what system
Wenger goes with.
I
'm really curious who
is going to replace Giroud —
Wenger was never going to get a
striker this window but with his
main man out something must
be done and done quick.
Arsene
Wenger was full of praise for the big
striker after his latest brace and strongly hinted that Giroud
was definitely the
main man for us in the centre forward role.
The two
main issues that
Wenger faces
are that firstly the opposition
strikers they will come up against from Liverpool and Leicester will make the games very tough for them.

be the
main striker AGAIN so let's expect a foreign good young prospect.
With their Swedish centre forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic injured it
is likely to
be the young English
striker leading the line at Old Trafford on Saturday, so

main danger man and does
Wenger need to take special care to stop him hurting our title challenge once more?
Arsenal did the job at Ostersund tonight although they
were hardly impressive with Danny Welbeck as the
main striker, but Arsene
Wenger thinks that his team took the tie seriously and simply did what
was needed.
I hope that I
'm wrong... but with
Wenger's activity for another CB when a
striker was supposedly our
main position that needed filling, does point to a fall out with Koscielny??
I even thought top clubs
were in for him. Some three or 2 seasons back many here
were debating why he should
be our
main striker. As soon as you mention any other
strikers name people would come out with stats and many things defending him.Even
Wenger has defended him blindly in the past.People say
Wenger's stubborn yeah. But don't we know that there
's a reason why everything happens?Honestly speaking he
's the reason why Arsene
Wenger has failed to sign a top notch
striker because he still believes in him.The funny thing
is we signed Welbeck at that time who to me did nothing before to
be the
main man here.People keep saying Welbeck
is hardworking and that he works his socks off.But the question
is was that our reason for signing him.Welbeck
being signed to challenge Giroud tells me a lot about Giroud
's quality.Even Walcott (no offence to him) who has zero CF qualities
was even chosen over him for a string of games and all in all I think he did well but has too many defeciencies for that role. We've compromised as a club and it'll come back to bite us.
I think
Wenger will keep him, and I wouldn't
be surprised if Giroud
was our
main striker yet again for next season, considering how
Wenger usually performs in the transfer windows, coupled with his unwavering loyalty to certain players.
Wenger's 1st choice
striker is out for most of the season (this
is probably the
main reason, had OG
been fit we wouldn't have signed him people).
Me too, haha the guy won't make it, if
Wenger thinks we can win he league with him upfront as our
main striker with Giroud injured then he
's got dimensure.

is believed that
Wenger will
be happy with the number of wide forwards at his disposal for next season which will include Welbeck, who

main central
striker.

main problem because he refused to buy an outfield player when we needed a
striker and dm at any cost.

is ready to
be on the bench at Madrid than
be the
main striker at Arsenal when we
are fighting for the
Wenger trophy and FA cup.
When will
Wenger learn that: 1) Giroud CA N'T
be our
main striker 2) we need to play with a proper left winger 3) we need PACE?!?!?!?!?!?!
What I believe Mr
Wenger should have done last year
was to kept Coquelin as Arsenal
main defensive midfielder, Wilshere replaces Cazorla and the 34 million in transfer fee and # 120,000 in weekly wages spent on Xhaka should have
been spent on a better
striker.
Wenger shot down rumours of Giroud departure, I'd rather we let him go but once a better
striker arrives that
is the
main thing.

Wenger gets the fact that we cant challenge for major trophies with OG as our
main attacker the better, for now it seems as though

striker.

Wenger could
be doing this mainly to pacify his critics, take one of the
main players off the only club that finished above us and use the
striker only on occasions which suit him.
It
's officially August and we still have made only 1 key signing... I HOPE
wenger does spend more money and get the
striker we need and DM... DM6 there
are still a few out there that we can get either Bender brother recently
been liked with Busquets but my
main concern
is the
striker out targets have all said they
are staying at their current clubs....
we won't
be signing a
striker so please lets stop, i want one as much as any of you guys, but
wenger stated Giroud will
be the
main striker and he even wanted Vardy to play the wings so imo
wenger is looking for welbeck replacement.
@Goonster, you
are absolutely correct my friend, what we see as the priorities
are not
Wengers priorities, we see this season after season with Ozil
being probably the worst case, we all know a
striker and a dm
were more urgently needed. Some will say
Wenger knows best but clearly he doesn't because our progress
is so slow we appear to
be standing still.Sanchez came in did well, but we still finished further away than last year.An Giroud still doesn't have any real competition upfront, im not a believer in Walcott as a
main striker, if we do get a top
striker like a Benzema it will most likely
be a last minute deal after every1 has made their moves
There
's only
Wenger who could buy a
striker like Giroud, get us to hate him for all his misses and then force us to want him back so badly when he
's injured as we have no other players anywhere near as good in that
main striker role.
I agree mostly with what has
been said, I do actually think that Lacazette
is the cheaper and younger option which will obviously prove vital for
Wenger and Aubamayang
is a better player maybe but when you consider he will disappear every other year to go and play in the ACON we would
be losing our
main striker for an important part of the season too often and that has to
be a serious issue for any team
We have ONLY one
main striker and if he
's not in the form that he should
be (because he
's not the
striker we need to win the PL) then we have no one who can really seek out the oppositions net, The last two games we have
been mediocre at best Im still NOT convinced that
Wenger still has the magic he once had despite a massive improvement in form
Am sick and tired of seeing giroud as our
main striker,
wenger even agreed sometimes back that he
is world classs and that he cant
be replaced.
Am even sensing FA cup final defeat now, you heard it here first
once Sanchez
is deployed to play behind the
main striker, Arsenal will
be unstoppable...
Wenger knows this, but Ozil
is just a barrier to him...... Sanchez deployed in that position will give us the league title... he
is a machine
I think
Wenger has made a great decision to test the player up front, but now with Giroud clearly firing the goals in, even when he isn't starting the matches as the club's
main striker, surely he should get another chance to play up front from the start.
So when you see links to mediocre / washed up
strikers link Bony
be afraid
be very afraid as
wenger can say he made the purchase in the position we asked for whilst still keeping Giroud as his
main man!
Wenger lost the plot when he brought in Giroud... what about the beautiful game involves having a lumbering
striker who
's main attribute
is holding up play... our success with
Wenger, and even before, came with pace and clinical striking up front, having a boss in the midfield and having physically imposing CBs... what about Wright, Bergkamp, Anelka, Henry or RVP remind anyone of Giroud (minus the left foot of course)... the formula
was broken, which didn't have to
be the end of our success, but when you adopt half - measures you can't expect things just to work themselves out on their own... at the very least
Wenger should have brought in some wingers that can consistently cross the ball and then spend significantly more time addressing our lack of success with set pieces... ultimately this
is why we continued to struggle with consistency and continued to constantly play people in the wrong positions
The fear would
be that
Wenger uses him as a substitute and keeps Giroud as our
main striker.
Wenger wants to play Giroud as the
main Striker, this
is his plan always.
Vardy
was suppose to
be our
main CF target but
Wenger never spoke to Vardy and it
was a bit of a joke about how little
Wenger appeared to care about that transfer, Perez confirmed that Arsenal looked at him at the beginning of the transfer window and we waited till the end to panic buy a
striker,
was this a
Wenger signing?
I think you'll find that Per
is a natural centre forward and that
Wenger has already earmarked him as our
main striker.
If
Wenger still believes that Welbeck can
be our
main striker one day, he should loan him out to a mid-table team, where he can as much as he
's able to, and build up routine and confidence.
Off topic we have Welbeck the
striker that never score and some Arsenal fans still think he
's a good but because he works hard no he
's a flipping
striker his
main objective
is to score goals, Giroud without having half the pace Welbeck has will always
be a better
striker than Welbeck and the sad thing about buying Welbeck
is that I don't see another
striker coming in until
Wenger leaves.
Against Man City,
Wenger played Alexis as the
main striker, when the Chilean
is not in his best form and only scored once this season.
If
Wenger signs Lacazette trust Giroud will not
be played as back up but rather our 1st team
main striker.
You'd really have to ask yourself if he'd still
be here if he wasn't French.
Wenger has every right to sell Giroud. If we
were very ambitious we would've sold him long ago.We
're treating him as if he
's a crucial player.The lesson will only
be learnt when Lacazette goes out with a long term injury. We will then see how good the back ups are.To me he
's not a super sub as he
's the kind of
striker who requires service.Being a super sub
is not enough because remember he
's the next in line if anything happens to Lacazette.Giroud
was Arsenal
's main striker for a reason.Last season 99 % of the matches he scored coming of the bench
were matches he should have started to give us that aerial presence but
Wenger shockingly started Sanchez.It
's a shame fans will blame him next season again for his short comings. The guy
is just not good.It
's not good enough to
be strong in aerial battles alone and weak in almost every other aspect.I expect Arsenal and Arsene to do better. He must
be sold.
We have
been here before with Olivier Giroud, the worst mistake we fans will make again will
be to allow Arsene
Wenger keep Giroud as our
main Striker.
It
's funny how the above article rates Lacazetti as not a big name player yet he remains
Wengers main striker target.?
In as much as we want Perez to start but I won't
be surprised if
Wenger starts with Sanchez as our
main striker..
don't think people wanted him to
be no. 1 when the transfer window
was still open, people had no choice after
Wenger says we have enough quality to win the league, and OG
is the only
main striker, and the transfer window closes with no panic buys
I know that
Wenger is more likley to sign a player who
is young and cheap but for me the
main goal
is to get a DM to compete with le coq, and maybe a
striker (not Nolito or another player who
is in the same rankings as Giroud..)
Wenger now says that he
was correct to keep the money in the bank, as he always knew that Theo Walcott would come good and become our
main central
striker.
