As a team we look very weak, Our midfield have no bite to them as we keep buying little fancy players but they are no good at tackling and getting stuck in, Santi for me this year do nt want to play maybe he is looking for a move!!!! Jack in in and out of games he is so inconsistanat, Arteta past his best and needs to be replaced, Wenger needs to look at the time and improve it, Last year we got Ozil this year we got Alexis but we are not using them to there full potental, Ransey is class but we can keep hoping for is magic to get us out of shit, Giroud for me is a waste of time we need a top top forward he battles away but he is far below the class we need,
but, im ok with this vardy transfer... it shows us many things: 1) wenger is changing, something some of us have been demanding for a long time; 2) it shows that wenger is taking risks: think about it, he is buying a men for a not cheap price, knowing he could not getting anything after, with a future sell i mean... this is an act that shows wengers intentions to win something, the buy is not motivated by any financial or economic reason but only for a «get the f epl once again» reason... this is an act that shows us hungry, even if we fail, we could said we try... first ever, we really try; 3) finally but very important... vardy is the kind of player we need... he is a warrior, a fighter... he has character... look at how he celebrate his goals... full of energy... he, like alexis, can motivate the team when the things are not going in our way (something wenger cant do because of his age and because he has never been an active coach on the pitch)... the vardy transfer, if it finish well, is a demostration of a change, and a good one... lets take care of winning things and do nt look the economic side for once... vardy is a bit old, but we can give a chance to welbeck after maybe, or akpom... u are not thinking about the future when we talk about ibra... guys: u complain when wenger do nt spend or because he is always looking for the bargain when u are the guys who has to pay the very expensive tickets... u complain when wenger buy the always for the future guy... like morata... stop to complain for everything and be consequent with yourself... i would love auba, but it is not going to happen... lukaku is awesome but the asking price is stupid... lets try with vardy, give us the throphy..

its ridiculous and embarrassing and goes to show that the real agenda from both wenger and the board is keeping the books straight its the continual party line of «in the summer, we'll do this» then the player is unavailable there used to be a time not that long ago when you knew that whoever they brought in was going to be class, now you know that whoever they bring in will be cheap and wont do much of a job, Sanchez has been the only real good bit of transfer business and I mean really good bit since we were supposed to be free of financial restraints makes you wonder if we ever really had any as its still not changed.

Mustafi obviously being 24 is a good buy.Perez i don't know he obviously is quicker than giroud but this deal looks like the scouts huddled around looked for any striker who will cost less than 20 millions and has a bit of pace in him.And if we buy him isn't wenger contradicting himself about his imaginary boxes about age and resale value. He is 28 already he doesn't have a good resale value i bet.But nothing is official yet, so it could all just be a rumour.

This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits

I paid attention at what elneny play he is very calm and his pass rate was successful mind you side ways but he lobed in few balls I think he was to scared to leave a gap well done for me cause we controlled the game nicely wellbeck did well too i thought if any one could score it would be him was a bit disappointed with Campbell he spieled a few pass but did well with the free kick Barcelona is different i do nt know how Mr wenger will approach it but we need a tight midfield to eliminate the three we need to score our chances looking forward for it
When I see Chelse (defending champs) adding players and still be linked with the like of Pogba and Stone, City already strengthened up yet linked with De Bruyne, Madrid with their expensive squad still added some players (Casemiro and Kovacic), Barca added Arda and Vidal all to join January (their case is well known) Bayern the same with Arturo I fail to understand what should be going through Wenger's mind.I have been his supporter through ane through for some years now but am afraid he should alter his philosophy a bit to accomodate the current situation.
I can not see any club paying that for a relatively unproven player, no matter how promising they might be, and that goes double for Wenger and the Gunners, but with the furore over Mbappe having died down a bit, do you think Arsenal might go back and test the resolve of Monaco with a mega money bid of, say, 70 or 80 million?
like I said before it doesn't matter who is the manager it starts from the top of the board has to go if we have a strong Like I said before it doesn't matter who is the manager it starts from the top board has to go if we have a strong Board Who is pushing the manager then we'll have a chance Wenger is a good manager but if we have a board he's not interested in winning things you know the answer to that do you remember when Dean was in charge Wenger was around then we won everything The board is destroying Wenger and Arsenal football club American doesn't give a toss about AFC if we put pressure on the board then they might start spending a bit of money or Selecor hopefully I'm glad we lost today because I think it will go to the board maybe get the stupid American to spend a bit more money
Arsenal were a bit too comfortable not signing up the Ox earlier — I don't know why the Ox switched agent, but Ox is in Wenger's favourites, so I don't think creating a bad atmosphere unnecessarily can be doing him any favours.

not to you Uzi Ozil but to the point u raised about monreal, that he improved his game massively because of the patch where he played as a cb, i know many here had a reason to criticize wenger for not buying a cb then but many here also bashed the prof that he wouldn't know whom to play where... look u haters before teaching wenger on tactics just think a bit more about it..
