Wenger's continued incompetence and lack of
tactical skill.
The game has changed massively since then, with
skill, speed and build up play taking precedence over Arsenal's previous free flowing style of play and therefore that is why Arsene
Wenger appears to have lost his
tactical edge.
The main thing I'd like to stress on is that
Wenger's
tactical set up of players is poor and his decisions are terrible.He doesn't combine players very well and I feel he makes some players too much of a main stay in his team even when they are poor which doesn't create competition to bring out the best in players.He also sold Gabriel who for all his mistakes has better defensive
skills in terms of tackling, 1 v1, interceptions and others than Mertesacker, Holding and Chambers.
Players stagnate under
Wenger who has no
tactical skill or ability to motivate.
Most recently seen after the unusual display at Man Utd with
Wenger making out his
tactical skill was the reason.

skills to Bould,
Wenger and the coaching squad is akin to comparing a banana to a Tomahawk missile so I can safety rule out the fact that they haven't notice that zonal marking is just not doing it for us, but then why isn't any variation apparent?
