With Wenger, I'll rather look at the bigger picture (hoping there exist one) when it comes to transfer windows, than hold on to little «promises» of getting «atleast one player» every other January.

Totally agree, I can see him being sold by Wenger and then making a big money transfer in a couple of years to a big club.

But Wenger is used to having to deal with this sort of thing and I do not think that this will be the Frenchman's biggest problem by any means during the upcoming summer transfer window.
