In any interview with Gamespot, series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and game director Yuuya Tokuda have opined on
what loot boxes would mean for their series, and neither had good things to say
about the idea.

about loot boxes when the game launches on 17 November 2017.
The reason for this is because the developers claim that the grinding will feel more «meaningful» and give players a sense of «accomplishment», which is similar to
what EA and DICE said
about implementing the
loot box progression system in Star Wars: Battlefront II.
Many gamers have been complaining
about loot boxes in games, stating that they're a form of gambling since it's like playing a slot machine where you spend money on an opportunity to get
what you want, but there's a fairly low chance that you'll actually acquire the item you want.
