Project Space embraces change, progress, and unpredictability, breaking the traditional archetypes of the
white -
wall gallery space.
The exhibit will feature a variety of photographs Harvey made during a monthlong trek from Chicago to Los Angeles and back to Tulsa along Route 66, including black - and -
white and color prints, as well as slide images that will be
projected on
gallery walls, along with objects she collected along the way, from daily newspapers to pieces of petrified wood.
The
project was held in 2012 at Space 1026, and it involved eighteen local and visiting artists creating black - and -
white paintings on the
gallery's
walls.
