Super Meat Boy would have been on
WiiWare if we could have had just a few more megabytes of space — you can only compress stuff so much before you have to start cutting out huge parts of your game.

if I realize there's a
Wiiware game I never got to play and I want it then I'm SOL.
If you've had your eyes firmly stuck to the internet feeds, you may have seen the awesome looking, physics - based puzzle / platformer World of Goo made its way out into the world via
WiiWare and PC on Monday.
90 percent of
WiiWare games are all third party and
if you look at a game like World of Goo, from 2D Boy, you know, this game was made by a couple people, basically, and made for around $ 10,000, and it's one of the highest - rated Wii games on the system.
It's a miracle
WiiWare was made at all, considering the incredible limits developers had to work within but on top of that,
if you bought a lot of Wii games with online components, since you couldn't move or copy the resulting data file, and
WiiWare required to be run from internal memory, I imagine there would come a time when you would have to choose between deleting a save file or being able to play a
WiiWare game.
I will say,
if Nintendo didn't push the VC as hard as they did (before
Wiiware came along and crapped everything up) I probably would have lost interest in the system after the Mario Galaxy hype died down.
If not, I own Mega Man 9 on
WiiWare already, so I won't be too devestated, but it'd be nice to have it available on my PS3 as well (since I play my PS3 a lot more often).
It is also still unknown
if Virtual Console Arcade releases will occur separately or
if they will merge with the weekly Virtual Console and
WiiWare updates.

WiiWare?

If you want to use every channel and have just two or three more
WiiWare games beside «Space Invaders Get Even», there is a storage problem.

if u enjoy puzzle games then there's enough here to keep you going in till next
wiiware release.
If we start getting info / dates on Bubble Bobble Wii and Animales, we'll have definite reasons to get excited about
WiiWare in 09.
Personally speaking, I would be delighted
if there were more simple system that enables game players in any levels to purchase
WiiWare games more easily.
If I had a toasted sandwich of time I would go back and stop myself from downloading the
WiiWare version of Doc Clock.
And sure, a few titles like Super Meat Boy and Shadow Complex have done their damnedest to school starving students on the glory days of 2D gaming, but
if you really want to know what all the grandpa gamers out there are going on about, you'd have to do some serious
WiiWare - downloading, eBay - trolling homework.
If you really want to play any of the Wii VC or
WiiWare titles, now is the time to add some points to your account and grab them up before they disappear forever.
Nintendo's limit on the file size seems to be the stumbling block and
if that means that it will prevent SEGA from making a decent game, then I would recommend they skip
WiiWare.
I wouldn't be surprised
if Sonic 4 episode 1 moved the most copies on
wiiware.
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity happens to be the 3rd (4th
if you count the Japan - only
WiiWare games — please be aware this review will only be focusing on the handheld games) game in the series and also the first to be on the 3DS.
If WiiWare developers release a game, and aren't getting good sales on it, I would think dropping the price in some instances would help the game sell more, but Nintendo doesn't allow price drops on the
WiiWare service.
So, even
if a game is out for 1 - 2 years on the
WiiWare service, it won't see a price drop because of Nintendo's policy.
If not, the similarly retro and slickly designed Art Style games on
WiiWare are fantastic as well.
If it being a disc release is a problem, then why not develop for PSN, XBLA and
WiiWare?
