That's what the developers tell you, the only reason they aren't making games for wii u is because wii u isn't selling well and they think they will lose money.

While I understand the «It got a wii port» idea, the Metroid prime trilogy is very hard to find and is selling for much more than retail on eBay, so I would like a HD release to bring the price back down to reality, not to mention the updated graphics on my 2nd favorite game of all time.

Nintendo got cocky Super Mario Bros Wii sold an amazing 35 million but that was only due to when it was released 70 million Wiis had already been sold.

Mario Kart, Zelda, Bayonetta2, Smash Bros and other huge AAA games are not coming till mid 2014!!!! Fact is Nintendo should have NEVER made a new Zelda game for the wii which took them 4 years, it only sold 5 million with a console fan base of 100 million!!!

The WIi U version sold more digital copies than hard copies so I don't know about the 360 / PS3 in that area

Nsmbwii is around 27 million and galaxy 1 & 2 combined have sold 11.5 m + 7m so 18.5 m. Also on the week NSMBWii releasaed in November 2009 the wii had an install base of 55 million.

Patcher was right they should have launched it at 250 with a free copy of nintendo land or with a new wii sports type game and it would have sold like hot cakes until the big nintendo games came out.

i think you talk about 3ds because of people saying that Nintendo is doom... wii u can sell les than gc and Nintendo will be ok because of the3DS.

It also sold close to a million which isn't too bad for a 3rd party game on wii!

and the core cheaper than than wii will help increase sells like crazy... also, it will slow blu - ray adoption... it's true that blu - ray will be almost impossible to beat... but at least it can slow it enough to make room for the innevitable future of digital distribution...

There were literally 100 million Wiis, probably a software catch rate around 8, so Nintendo literally sold something like 400 million pieces of software for the Wii.

this was the one thing with move that seemed to stand on its own... I don't mind the idea of HD wii sports either, as long as it really is 1:1... that was my only real complaint with the wii when it released... there was motion control, but it was gimmicky and registered «wiggles» into canned animations... not to mention the gamecube visuals... still not sold on Move though... for me to really want one, I want to see what they are doing with shooters... Socom 4 and killzone 3 could be very special for core gamers and motion controls if they are done right... if you can aim on screen in true 1:1 fashion while sitting comfortably at a «normal» gaming distance... it could rearrange how I play first person shooters on a console... developers are saying the Move has input latency of 21ms, which is roughly half of a DS3... and second only to a wired mouse / keyboard... need to see how it works though, as it is not always that simple... just saying that if it does what its supposed to... it could end up being the answer to shooters on a console... as much as I like playing shooters with 2 sticks... I can't argue that I miss the days of a mouse and keyboard (as well as PC being the only platform to get the best shooters on... no longer the case by any means)... but with a first person shooter, there is no wiggle room... pun intended... it has to register every mm of movement on screen... and do it quickly... not sure if it can yet...

they need to focus on the wii games library as a selling point for the wii - u.
