One of the more amazing tributes I've come across in recent times combines Shovel Knight
with Gundam.
My big complaint
with Gundam Versus at the start is that it doesn't give you any strategic help at all.
One thing that struck me throughout my time
with Gundam Versus was the amazing art style.
This has become a growing trend lately with Bandai Namco bringing English localized games to the territory
with Gundam Extreme VS Force being one of them.
The voice acting for all the different characters is great as well, as their melodramatic yelling and exclamations really sell the lovingly crafted anime aesthetic, especially when paired
with the Gundam opening themes that often play throughout battles.
If you're unfamiliar
with the Gundam series, it's basically about giant mech - robots called «mobile suits» that are piloted by humans and the various battles they partake in.
However, the game never gained quite the foothold or presence that Starcraft did in the minds of the average gamer, and remains mostly a forgotten classic, only living on in occasional critics» lists of favorites and in the free Spring RTS engine, an attempt by fans to clone the original Total Annihilation's gameplay (anything
with a Gundam RTS mod deserves mention).
Bandai Namco have uploaded a new video highlighting the four new DLC suits to appear next week in conjunction
with the Gundam Extreme Versus Full Boost 1.08 update.
While many a page are taken from the battling mechanic book stashed away in the Tekken library, the Pokken Tournament titles evidently take influence from classic titles in the Street Fighter series and even remind me occasionally of my playing experience
with Gundam - style fighters.
With Gundam Breaker 2 being a popular title however, you will have no problems finding menu translations with a simple Google search — and after a few hours in the game, the need for the translations will be gone as you'll remember what everything is (the fact that upgrades are color coded makes it that much easier).

with the Gundam Breaker games.
Whether you're familiar
with Gundam or not, being inside a mobile suit in Versus feels like you're piloting a powerful piece of machinery that can wreak havoc once you learn to properly use it.
For those who've kept up
with Gundam over the years, the enormous roster is impressive.
Beyond a short cutscene identifying which series your chose mobile suit is from, these modes have no story, which means that anyone who isn't already familiar
with Gundam will have to read up to figure out who's who.

The
Gundam series, which has been on Japanese TV since the 1970s, captured the imagination of a whole generation and continues to be popular to this day,
with a «real - life size» 20 meter (65 feet) high
Gundam robot mechanical statue even becoming the latest tourist attraction in Tokyo.
I was a fan of anime growing up
with the likes of Dragon Ball, Yu Yu Hakusho,
Gundam Wing, Cowboy Bebop, and all of the other stuff that thrived on Toonami.
Other notables in the top 10 were AKB 1/48 Fall In Love
With An Idol (PSP) and Dynasty Warriors:
Gundam 3 (PS3).
It's safe to assume they are probably going to keep going
with this, so color me excited about this
Gundam title.
Although riddled
with enough flaws to keep the casual gamer at bay, «
Gundam Battle Assault» isn't so terrible that it alienates even the hardcore supporters willing to overlook its problems.

Busy
with spin - off titles like Dynasty Warriors:
Gundam, a Zelda iteration and even the upcoming Berserk & The Band of the Hawk, we can guess Dynasty Warriors 9 is in the very early stages of development.
The initial list of PS Vita games and software packages compatible
with the PlayStation Vita TV, a micro-console allowing users play PlayStation Vita and PSP games on their television
with a DualShock 3 controller, includes Lumines, Rayman Origins,
Gundam Breaker, Soul Sacrifice Delta and more.
Then it would be on par
with Dynasty Warriors:
Gundam Reborn.
My experience
with the «musou» series thus far has been limited to demos of one of the original PS2 versions and a couple of spin - offs; namely
Gundam and Fist of the North Star.
The game also has two different modes: Situation mode is a retelling of Mobile Suit
Gundam stories
with interlaced action, while Mission mode lets players complete new and original missions using their own custom team of three mobile suits.
The team has worked
with several IP owners across Japan to mix their combat
with IP lore to create games in the North Star, One Piece,
Gundam, Zelda and Dragon Quest worlds.
So here you have a game in which the
Gundam - loving, world - building Takahashi, who
with his wife Tanaka and his friend Kato wrote an existential, theological, and psychological story,
with music from the highly expressive Mitsuda.
Guillermo Del Toro's Pacific Rim was, if nothing else, a true kitbasher's movie,
Gundam meets Godzilla
with a side of the director's love of icky sea life, but its sequel is geek lite, an impersonal gloss on the first film's framework of nerdy pleasures.
Mainly because we have spent so much time in the past
with the Dynasty Warriors franchise I wasn't sure how the
Gundam franchise would relate.
With recent Warriors titles diving into the Fire Emblem,
Gundam, Legend of Zelda, and Berserk universes, the Koinuma still has his eye on a particular sci - fi universe that he thinks would make for a great action beat - em - up game.
They've done this
with Fist of the North Star, One Piece, and even several times
with the massive
Gundam universe.

Dynasty Warriors:
Gundam 3 represents the next generation of futuristic mecha action

Seemingly not content, the publisher - which then went on to merge
with Tecmo - started creating spin - offs, including One Piece and
Gundam.
Takeuchi and Yamazaki will share the stage
with Hirofumi Inagaki, producer of Namco Bandai's Mobile Suit
Gundam - themed PS3 shooter.
Dynasty Warriors has also never been particularly popular in the West, but it is a major franchise in Japan, where there've been crossovers
with everything from
Gundam to The Legend Of Zelda.
Perhaps it can be likened to
Gundam robots, a nicely designed outrageous
Gundam, and some people love them anyway so its fine... I agree when the article says it's a boy racers dream
with all the add - on aero devices etc., but it's unlikely that you'd find them on a VW R for instance.

with its usage of the Legilis bits and its speed.
As a 1500 cost unit, it appears to be your run of the mill support unit in the vein of Gun - EZ and Dual

with a good balance of long range attacks, melee, and a slew of assists involving other Tieren.

Gundam Extreme Versus Maxi Boost roster
with the addition of

with the cutest
Gundams ever seen, a couple of games familiar to NIS America watchers, and an anniversary port of the first Class of Heroes game.
What
with the release of
Gundam Breaker 2 only a few weeks away now, Bandai have rolled out an extended trailer.
