I'm
still working all this out in my head, but
as a
woman who has grown to accept her ambitious spirit rather than resist it (perhaps because of my upbringing, perhaps because of Dan's influence and support, perhaps because of that
whole Enneagram Type 1 thing), I offer just a few observations that I hope we can discuss further in the comment section:
I would give my life for any homosexual man or
women — I would gladly give my life in exchange for theirs if it come to the crunch but I
still speak out against the sin of homosexuality... What you must understand is that it is a judgment of God when a nation turns away from God — The
whole world is turning away from God and we need to stand against the teaching of the world... it is also a sign of the times
as spoken of in timothy 1 and 2.
I find this
whole topic so very interesting...
As a 21 year old Christian
woman who is
still a virgin, I obviously support waiting until marriage.
As a first time mom to a 5 month old who's
still trying to figure out the
whole work / mom thing, I really appreciated reading about how different
women approach this.
(What's
still unclear is whether a
woman who has been overweight her
whole life has the same level of risk
as one who put on pounds through adulthood.)
I believe
women are
still earning less than men because,
as a
whole, we don't ask or charge for our value.
And yet, Ms. Freilicher, who is 73,
still remains largely unknown outside the art world, appreciated mostly by other artists and by writers with whom she became friends
as a young
woman in New York during the 1950's, when Frank O'Hara wrote a
whole cycle of poems about her, and Larry Rivers slit his wrists after she left him.
Yet, while
women are gaining traction in sales
as a
whole, they are
still largely underrepresented.
