As part of a series of workshops for indie authors,
New Street Authors is hosting a free masterclass on
writing book blurbs.
If a die - hard reader was eager enough to find this
blurb and read it, they found out about your
new book,
wrote it down, and then ran to their local library or bookstore to check it out or, hopefully, buy it.
I'm helping some friends
write marketing copy for a
new product they've developed, and it got me thinking about
book descriptions (by which I mean the jacket copy, or the back - of -
book description, or what some people call the
blurb *).
Lawyer Adrian Dayton, for example, who joined Twitter in January 2009 and has
written a
