While this remains a
concept, the next
XV Crosstrek will continue to feature Subaru's 2.0 - liter flat - four under the hood, sending power through either a manual or CVT automatic.
From what we can see, the Subaru
XV Concept will use a similar front end as the Impreza sedan and hatch
concepts (pictured below), but with extra body cladding befitting its more rugged look.

As we predicted when this car was teased earlier this month, the
XV Concept wears a front fascia similar to those seen previewed on the Impreza
concepts, and has the same attractive hatchback profile that makes the current
XV so alluring.

While the roadgoing
XV features only a handful of visual changes from the five - door Impreza, mainly aimed at beefing up the rather anonymous body, the
concept adopts several cues seen on recent Subaru
concept cars, from slim, «hawk - eye» C - shaped headlights and tail lights, to heavily - stylised alloy wheels and in this instance, a tough - looking front scuff plate and chunky wheel arches.
For starters, other manufacturers like Subaru offer lifted versions of their hatchbacks, with the Subaru Impreza and
XV Crosstrek being just one example; the Volkswagen Beetle Dune
concept would provide an alternative to that model in the marketplace.
While the Geneva
concept previews the look of the next - generation
XV, Subaru has lightly revised the
XV road car for the 2016 model year.
The latest
concept should determine the design direction of the
XV road car in particular — a crossover based on the Impreza platform.

All in all the
XV Crosstrek is one of those rare vehicles that seems stupid in
concept, but actually works out pretty well in reality.
Subaru is remaining mum on what vehicle the Viziv 2
concept previews, but it's likely to be a big brother to the new
XV Crosstrek hybrid.
It's unclear whether the
XV and Impreza
concepts will influence any production - going variants, but we have our fingers crossed.

Concept is a
concept model that further emphasizes the tough and rugged design that is a feature of the Subaru
XV.
Now, it's adding to its list of debuts by rolling out three «
concept» versions of its three best - selling models: the Impreza,
XV, and Outback.
In addition to the new
XV Crosstrek Hybrid, Subaru will also reveal an all - new performance
concept car.
Last but definitely not least is the Subaru Outback, which really is the outlier of the three because it's technically not a
concept, not even by the loose standards we've attributed to both the
XV Fun Adventure
Concept and the Impreza Future Sport
Concept.
Of the three
concepts, this is the one that appeals to me the most, mostly because it finally showcases the
XV the way I always envisioned it being: off - road capable.

The term «games as service» has been thrown around a lot lately, but we'd say Final Fantasy
XV is one of the few games that nails that
