This year my blogging friends have inspired me to go all out and decorate and embrace the changing of the seasons.

Billion - dollar startups are sprouting like dandelions in Silicon Valley these days, but that certainly wasn't the case 10
years ago this week, when Arianna Huffington launched a
blogging site with the help of a few celebrity
friends.
A
friend and reader I met in Reykjavik this
year sent me a message today asking me for tips for how he can start
blogging daily.
Of course there are other reasons for my sporadic
blogging this
year: a surprise new baby coming which completely disoriented us, a new book to finish writing (and I will share all about that in January), travelling and speaking all over North America, stewarding the message of Jesus Feminist throughout her first
year of life, creating the Jesus Feminist collection with Imagine Goods, a trip to Haiti, new opportunities as a writer, three tinies at home with their own lives and drama and growth and change, remodelling parts of our home, marriage, church,
friends, life, work, laundry (oh, can we talk laundry?!)
This was a full
year for our family: Haiti, book writing, book deals, finishing seminary, working, three small tinies, church, family,
friends, life, change, home making,
blogging, working, all of it.
Anyway,
years later we've become dear
friends and so of course I was so sad when she quit
blogging earlier this
year.
Over the course of the next
year, I made several good
blogging friends online, and learned a lot about
blogging, started several other blogs, and decided to pursue my dream of getting published.
My insanely brilliant
blogging friend Heather started a company a few
years ago and it's absolutely exploded (it's also where I bought this amazing spice «rack» when I backed her on Kickstarter)!
Plus, since I have been
blogging about this gluten - free lifestyle for many
years now, it has brought me into contact with some other amazing gluten - free, allergy - free bloggers and
friends.
In a week or so it'll be Valentine's day — and I know how hard this season is for those like my dear
blogging friend who recently had a break up after seven
years with her partner.

year, as a
blogging friend of mine and I sat at home on our computers attending BlogHer in Second Life instead BlogHer in real life in San Francisco, we made a pact that we would do whatever it takes to get us to the BlogHer Conference in 2009.
Thanks for giving us a chance to get to know one another.My sister Diane has been
blogging a
year, but Cecil and I are newby's at it.This will give us a chance to get to know other
friends and cultures.
As entrepreneurial as I am —
blogging for almost six
years and consulting green beauty startups and
friends on branding and communications — this collab was unlike anything I've ever taken on.

I got to see family, catch up on some
blogging, watch trash TV, celebrate Andrew and I's four -
year anniversary and have fun with
friends.
Our goal is to gather many of our
blogging friends through out the
year and share all kinds of projects that inspire you to create a home where your generosity for others is evident.
When I started
blogging I never imagined in a million
years that I would meet such an amazing and supportive group of women that I am so happy to call true
friends!
Di A. was the winner of the color and style makeover New
Years giveaway that my
blogging friend and color expert Pamela of Style Yourself Confidently had in December.
This time we're celebrating the Two
Year Blogiversaries of two of my good
blogging friends, Cindy of Little Miss Celebration, and Lisa of Cooking with Curls!
I am
friends with a 19
year old song writer in Portland, a farmer's wife in Wisconsin, a Diva in North Carolina... people I never would have hear of otherwise if not for
blogging.
During the 6 +
years of
blogging under Caravan of Style, I was able to move to Chicago and meet some wonderful
friends and brands along the way.
Tonight, we're going to a Peruvian inspired pop - up dinner (similar to the one we went to on New
Year's Eve), I'm getting my hair done (follow along on Instagram to see my new «do»), I'm going to a Galentine's Day
blogging event hosted by some of my sweet
friends and then our Super Bowl celebration!
Blogging has not only blessed with me a creative outlet, but it has introduced me to so many people that I consider my best
friends, has brought about more opportunities than I can even fathom that I deemed impossible just
years ago and has given me purpose and direction when I felt so lost in my life.
Today I'm joining up with a few
blogging friends for the Color Loving Spring Home Tour — I participated last
year (you can see that tour here) and it was so fun to see everyone's homes, so it was a no - brainer to do it again.
Last
year Camilla at Culinary Adventures with Camilla rallied some
blogging friends to help her celebrate her 15th wedding anniversary.
When my sweet
blogging friends Susannah and Erin approached me to take part in their huge Tailgate Campaign (< — my name not theirs) this
year, I immediately jumped on the bandwagon.
Kristen from Ella Claire Blog does a fabulous job hosting and each
year she brings together some of her
blogging friends to share seasonal printables.
I'm enjoying watching my
blogging friends go for NaNoWriMo this
year — everyone seems to have gotten off to a good start.
To meet
blogging friends always is a highlight, I made this experience also several times last
year.

Despite having not been around that often, I haven't forgotten about all the
blogging friends I have made over the past three
years (crazy right!?)

Never in a million
years could I have imagined a life, a passion, and a potential career on it's heels from the world of
blogging - but I've found all of that and more, plus a lot of inspiring
friends!
While many of my 40 +
blogging friends are decidedly low key about the new
year -LCB- which is all good -RCB-, it appears that the sewing community is abuzz with anticipation.

More than anything to see the amazing
friends that I've met over the past
year and a half
blogging — spending time in New York catching up is truly why I am headed back to the city that never sleeps this season.
Blogging is sometimes a lonely enterprise for someone who is as insanely social as I am, but having Michelle AND the Over 40 Collective, as well as the other
friends I've made over the past few
years writing this blog, has turned my laptop into the ultimate office water cooler.
You are so fortunate to have met so many
blogging friends... though I've not met any, I feel as though I have known many for
years!
Over this last
year of
blogging, I have learned from 1930s starlets and modern - day fashionista
friends that «dressy» is a relative term.
We first connected on Twitter & she's become a close
blogging friend over the past
year!
One of my favorite things about this time of
year is getting together with my
