My healthy go - to breakfast: my oldest daughter (6) is very picky so

yogurt too but sometimes that's more of a mess later
for me
I typically use hemp seeds as a topper
for salads,
smoothies, pasta or quinoa, but you can also make mylk or
yogurt out of hemp seeds!
We kept stumbling across juice bars in the city and one we tried was Juice Källan where I had the Kanelbulle (Cinnamon Roll)
Smoothie - banana, mango, apple, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom & homemade almond milk (They swapped the vanilla dairy
yogurt out
for me).
The average
smoothie with just fruits and
yogurt can be a tad too sweet
for our palates, particularly in the morning, so as one would expect with oats, it can also serve to temper the flavor.
200 ml Almond Breeze ® Unsweetened Almond Milk 1 tablespoon Chia seeds — see info below 1 tablespoon Golden Linseeds — rich in Omega 3 a good dollop of 0 % Natural Greek
Yogurt (
for extra protein) 1 generous teaspoon of Coconut oil — see info below half a small Avocado — see info below Blueberries and Strawberries - antioxidant rich half teaspoon Cinnamon — lowers blood sugar levels Almond milk ice cubes Add all of the ingredients except the ice to a
smoothie maker or blender and whizz up
for a couple of minutes till smooth.
But there's so much more you can do with plain Greek
yogurt: put it in
smoothies, use it in guacamole and even as a base
for baking.
I ask this because I made myself a
smoothie everyday
for a year using skim milk and
yogurt, and 7 other non-dairy ingredients.
I personally love spreading this on a slice of my almond flour pumpkin bread
for breakfast or a snack, but it's also great on
smoothie bowls, stirred into
yogurt, on top of quinoa muffins or added into energy balls!
Our chocolate
smoothie recipe,
for example, features a wonderful blend of banana chunks and Greek
yogurt.
Seriously, blend those seeds into anything you want
for added fiber...
