Yes but it needed to be done, whilst it can be argued whether he would be able to produce the same performances he does now in 4
years time, the whole idea i would presume would be to let the
younger midfielders learn from such a talented individual now with the eventual hope that they would be able to surpass or perhaps match his ability, plus its always a good thing to have experienced
players of such calibre around the squad, like barca with Xavi he may not be able to perform to the level he was in his heyday, but every once an again produces a moment
of magic when you need it
on account
of the experience.
If we start this season with those two in our starting 11 it will be a clear sign from this organization that nothing has changed and that we will never get it right until both Kroenke and Wenger are gone... neither one
of these
players should still be with our club at this point because they represent the settling half - measures that have plagued this team for a number
of years... this is what I call the «no man's land»
of the soccer world, where teams don't have enough talented
young players, unlike a Monaco or Dortmund, because they have lost the plot from an organizational standpoint... they are so reliant
on one individual to run the whole operation that their once relevant scouting department has become so antiquated that it can no longer find those hidden gems it once had... furthermore, when you leave all decision - making to a manager who despises any dissenting opinions, your management team becomes little more than a stagnant group
of «yes men» and no new ideas emerge... so instead
of developing a team with the qualities necessary to excel in a particular system, you continually make half - brain purchases
year after
year to stifle dissent from the ticket - buying public, then try desperately to finagle together a lineup regardless
of what would make positional sense... have you ever heard
of a team who plays
players out
of position so often...
of course not because that manager would likely be fired and never work for a team
of any consequence ever again
I'm personally glad he's staying

of Ljungberg and Gilberto a little longer our
younger players could
of developed a bit better.

year old has been doing in his loan spells with a number

on his current deal.
We have missed out
on UCL football for the 1st time in 21
years and this is new to a lot
of younger Arsenal fans, some
of our
young passionate fans in education have never seen Arsenal without UCL football, it is such a strange situation for us to be in now that it is hard to tell if we can get the top
players we would like or not.
Chelsea only slowed spending in recent
years because they went totally ham in the
years prior, they are stacked full
of good youth (they sold a lot
of quality
young players too) and Roman seems to have little appetite for overspending now but they still have bigger resources than us and better facilities just like City a fact people gloss over and the result
of the overspending
on youth sees them recoup money that they then use to spend whilst it looks like they are not spending (also got lucky with the price inflation directly after they went crazy
on youth and the regularity
of their China deals is sketchy at best.)
The 21 -

on the Lakers
on the same level as Embiid or Simmons and they only won 35 games this
year).

I'd say that the owner defaulting
on payments and ensuing bankruptcy putting the team in control
of the banks, whose goal was to minimize costs, not win

years of trading the first / picking late in the first / drafting
players like Fistric with their first led to them not having a
young core to turn to.

year - old legs and competing for goals with

nice to see you crawl out
of your hole just in time to offer your 2 cents worth once again... unlike yourself I started following this team long before Wenger arrived
on the scene and will continue to do so long after he's gone... in his earlier
years I admired the cerebral elements he brought to the EPL, which at that point was more brutish than beautiful, and I respected the seemingly tireless efforts
of Arsene, Dein & staff to uncover and develop talent without sacrificing the product
on the field... likewise I appreciated that such a youthful manager wasn't afraid to bring strong personalities and / or world - class
players into the fold without being fearful
of how said
players would potentially undermine and / or dilute his authority... unfortunately this all changed about 10
years ago and culminated in the removal
of all our greatest
players, both
young and old, without any real replacements coming in... from Henry to RVP to Fabergas and Nasri, it was easy to see that this club was no longer interested in competing at the highest levels... instead
of being honest, minus the ridiculous claims regarding the new stadium, Wenger chose to side with management and in doing so became the «front man» for this corporation pretending to be a world - class soccer club... without the «front man» this organization would have been exposed numerous
years earlier, so his presence was imperative if the facade was to continue... it's for this reason and more that I despise what this once great man and Kroenke has done to my beloved club... the gutless, shameful and manipulative way they have treated the fans, like myself, is largely indefensible and this is why I felt it necessary to start offering my opinion in a public format... trust me, I resisted the temptation for many
years but as long as the same shit continues to exist I will voice my opinions and if you don't like it maybe you should look for a different team to pretend to follow
Before you get too wound up, I should tell you that as well as the
players all having been team mates
of Ozil's down the
years, he did pick Gnabry with a cheeky grin, as you can see
on the video in this Metro report, and he also reveals the reason is that the
young Gunner was sat right next to him at the time and Gnabry does look like he has the strength to tie the older German up in knots.
We have got a very
young offense who will only get better with time, and because
of the Badger mentality and the football IQ

years there too.
keep calm lol why did not even win the game from andre the team which
players are very
young (avg 20
years) santi he is out
of from but he played every 90 min.wenger logic chamber he is not rb.why the hell wenger sent jenki
on loan he is much better rb as compare to chamber and west ham at 4 and he started every single game.
So while the
players on loan are not in the squad anymore, Wenger has been able to add the names

young and have been with us for at least two
years.
Buying
players we do NOT actually need, just as a safeguard, will not only put back those
young players progress, but also mean, in a few

players on, and, will have to pay them top dollar just to warm the bench in the meantime.
Let's face it goalkeepers tend to march to the beat
of a different drum and Szczesny certainly fell into that category, but most
of his antics were relatively harmless and simply reflected a certain level
of immaturity that isn't uncommon for someone thrust into the limelight at such a
young age... lord knows we've seen that happen with numerous
players throughout the
years and very few were ever banished for such behaviour... the only
on - field action that drove me crazy was his inability to take a deep breath and not try to rush the play with an ill - timed throw at certain points in the game when common sense suggested holding the ball and slowing things down... the fact that he continued to do this probably had a lot to do with the glaring lack
of coaching time spent with the goalkeepers... ultimately he made the fateful decision to take his frustrations out into the public sphere and paid dearly for it... in the end, his services were wanted by several
of the best Italian squads, which is significant considering the historical importance placed
on the defensive side
of the ball in Serie A... all I know is that if someone asked me to pick the most athletically gifted goalkeeper we have had in our squad since the arrival
of Wenger, without hesitation, he would be my pick and for that reason his departure is more than a little disappointing... what else is new though
But for sure underinvestment doesn't deliver especially if u want to compete
on two big fronts... Bellerin is the first
of our
young players to come through in quite some time lots
of expectation in last 6
years but can't think
of a real quality
player from the academy... Wilshere might if injuries hadn't prevented... Spurs now looking better
on that front Attitude is key I agree totally... love the way Leicester hunt down ball in packs and break with 3 or even 4
players moving at speed...
It clear for everyone to see that sanchez is going to be a
player of th
year (if he avoids injuries) but F.A alwaya f*ck us up, last season koz wasnt even
on the team
of the
year before that
year it was carzola.for me chamers is my
young player of the
year.i know it stil early but if they perform at this rate nothing can stop them
Here I go (feel free to add): 1) with Cech and Gabriel, the emergence
of Bellerin and Coquelin, a resurgent Monreal and a healthy Gibbs and Debuchey our defence is in much better shape than this time last
year 2) no one
of any significance left 3) our
young players on loan eg Zelalem and Crowley and in the academy eg Fortune and Reine - Adelaide are looking great 4) our injury record can't be as bad as last
year, can it Shad Forsyth?
The six

on the bench for the Stoke game, Stefan O'Connor the promising 17 -
year old centre back who recently signed his first professional contract, Alex Iwobi the Nigerian born winger and nephew
of Jay - Jay Okocha and finally the

of every older
player making any kind

One can only speculate
on a prospective fee, but given that Arsene Wenger was reportedly ready to pay $ 20m (just under # 17m) for the full back and his 16

of the one
of the most sought after

Nothing like one underachiever blowing smoke up the ass
of another... we know that Ozil has some incredible technical gifts, but to be considered the best you have to bring more than just assists to the table... for me, a top
player has to possess a more well - rounded game, which doesn't mean they need to be a beast
on both ends
of the pitch, but they must have the ability to take their game to another level when it matters most... although he amassed some record - like stats early
on, it set the bar too high, so when people expected him to duplicate those numbers each
year the pressure seemed to get the best
of our soft - spoken star... obviously that's not an excuse for what has happened in the meantime, but it's important to make note
of a few things: (1) his best
year was a transition
year for many
of the traditionally dominant teams in the EPL, so that clearly made the numbers appear better than they actually were and (2) Wenger's system, or lack thereof, didn't do him any favours; by playing him out
of position and by not acquiring world - class striker and / or right - side forward that would best fit an Ozil - centered offensive scheme certainly hurt his chances to repeat his earlier peformances, (3) the loss
of Cazorla, who took a lot
of pressure off Ozil in the midfield and was highly efficient when it came to getting him the ball in space, negatively impacted his effectiveness and (4) he likewise missed a good chunk
of games and frankly never looked himself when he eventually returned to the field... overall the Ozil experiment has had mixed reviews and rightfully so, but I do have some empathy for the man because he has always carried himself the same way, whether for Real or the German National team, yet he has only suffered any lengthy down periods with Arsenal... to me that goes directly to this club's inability to surround him with the necessary
players to succeed, especially for someone who is a pass first type
of player; as such, this simply highlights our club's ineffective and antiquated transfer policies... frankly I'm disappointed in both Ozil and our management team for not stepping up when it counted because they had a chance to do something special, but they didn't have it in them... there is no one that better exemplifies our recent history than Ozil, brief moments
of greatness undercut by long periods
of disappointing play, only made worse by his mopey posturing like a
younger slightly less awkward Wenger... what a terribly waste
