Not a full sequel, but definitely more than a mere v1.5, this game has had a near - complete overhaul that puts
the Zelda OoT: Master Quest version to shame as it as much as quadruples the amount of content in places, and overhauls much of the returning content (such as the reworked puzzles, and spoken dialogue being added to a game that was previously text - only).
I know people like classic side scroller DK games because well they were great but come on, nintendo is seriously losing their ambitions, playing too safely instead of trying to revolutionize like what they did with Mario 64,
Zelda Oot and Mario Galaxy.

OoT till BotW came to be.
It's been fiercely debated (read: argued via deafening screaming matches) ever since Ocarina of Time was released; fuel was only added to the fire when the
OoT manga, while non-canon, chose to support the side of
Zelda actually transforming into a boy for the seven years Link slept through.
OoT may seem easy now but it was a challenge when it came out and we had to completely change our train of thought, playing
Zelda in 3D for the first time.

The locales, weapons, items, cameo appearances (
OoT's Great Fairies and the evil moon from Majora's Mask), and light puzzle elements reminiscent of
Zelda are all there.

Oot and Majora's mask, there were some emulation issues.

OoT I looked back at TP and thought, «Gosh, that's nearly the same game.»
People were REALLY upset that it came out and was the most beautiful
Zelda game ever, instead of looking more like
OoT, the most butt - ugly
Zelda game ever.
Well, to many,
OoT is the «neutral
Zelda», or the one benchmark every other game in the franchise is measured against and compared with.
OoT is number 1, that's a fucking fact and every
Zelda fan knows it.
Though it recycled a huge percentage of
OoT «s visual assets in the name of saving development time, Majora's Mask managed to flip the heroic, grand scale of its predecessor on its head and put the character models to use in a scarier, more urgent and, in my opinion, more memorable context that still feels unique not only to the
Zelda series, but to all of gaming.
Hyrule 2 happens after the end of
OoT with Link defeating Gannon as and adult and
Zelda sending him back in time.
Before
OoT is the original
Zelda, where Link traps Ganon, then kills Dark Link the next game.
Majora's Mask is not as bad as
Zelda II, but the continuation of the
OoT design and the introduction of strict time limits make Majora's Mask a tedious chore to play.
