games averaged two points higher than its Wii U releases (which numbered just 7 on the year, led by
remake The Legend of
Zelda: Twilight Princess HD).
It was also the day they announced new
games, Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, Metroid Prime Federation Force and a new title for the
Zelda series, which isn't for the Wii U. That's right folks, coming fall 2015 (this very year), is a Four Swords successor (and theorised «
remake»), the Legend of
Zelda: TriForce Heroes, so let's talk about what we know about the
game so far.
If they want to deliver more
Zelda games then I'd be okay with more HD
remakes.
Perhaps I am a bit bold with this statement, but I truly believe that The Legend of
Zelda: Wind Waker HD, a
remake of a 10 - year - old
game, is potentially a system seller, and it quite possibly could be my favourite
game this year.
So, in a technical sense it's a new
Zelda game to me, but I know it's a
remake.
The Legend of
Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D was a
game that a vocal contingent of fans had been demanding since Ocarina of Time got the
remake treatment in 2011.
My greatest hope for this strange title is that it is a
Zelda game based around the overall mechanics of the original
Zelda 2, or even a total
remake and overhaul of it.
I actually would have loved an HD
remake of Mario 3 like they are doing with the
zelda game....

remake, a wierd fire emblem crosover
game and a sequel to xenoblade chronicles.

Other notable announcements included the reveal of an HD
remake of The Legend of
Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Wii U console, a new Wii U bundle featuring Splatoon and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and news that the Pokémon
games that started it all — Pokémon Red Version, Pokémon Blue Version andPokémon Yellow Version — will launch with new wireless communication functionality in the Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo 3DS system on Feb. 27.
Mario got Super Mario Maker as his 30th anniversary
game, surely Link deserves the same treatment, Twilight Princess HD at the end of the day, was just a
remake, Link does still deserve something new regardless of
Zelda U being pushed back to March 2017.
In the 16 months of the Wii U's lifetime we've seen 2 new Mario
games, a new Donkey Kong, a
remake of a classic
Zelda game, a new Pikmin
game, a new Wii Sports
game, a new ip with The Wonderful 101 amongst many other first party titles.
I was confused at first why they decided to
remake the
game, but it really is a good entry - level
Zelda game.
What began as a
remake of the Super Nintendo classic The Legend of
Zelda: A Link to the Past is now one of the most delightfully charming adventures available on any
game platform.

Zelda team had already started development on the newest
game for Wii U, so we asked an Australian development company Tantalus (who also made the Wii U version of Mass Effect 3) to handle the

The Wii U has had two HD
remakes of
Zelda games, and it would be silly to
remake a
game that's only 5 years and one generation removed.
Sure, we already have Breath of the Wild, but The Legend of
Zelda: The Wind Waker HD was a fantastic
remake of one of the best
Zelda games.
When Metroid of all things get a new, original
game for its anniversary (It may not be a main series metroid and instead a
game in the mediocre prime series, but it's not a port or
remake either) and
zelda only gets ports and merchandise, something isn't right.
With all of the new
games releasing in the next month or so and with the recent blockbusters like Black Ops III and Battlefront still hot off the shelf, it is a little silly for me to be looking forward to a
remake that won't release until March of next year... but that's just the kind of
Zelda fan I am.
I am sure the team behind this
game will incorporate fun uses of the gamepad just like the last
Zelda HD
remake.
To be honest, I'm loving all the
remakes, but shouldn't they make the new
Zelda Wii U
game their priority?

Although it has not been confirmed by Nintendo's it's extremely likely that a
game from The Legend of
Zelda series is getting
remade.
There are Wii U owners who are patiently waiting or hoping for another Metroid
game, Super Smash Bros Wii U, a
Zelda title that isn't a
remake, and some fresh IPs that will engage them as
gamers while making effective use of the
game pad in front of them.

Zelda's newest
game was literally an hd
remake of an
game that got represented to hell and back in Brawl they really are fine at 5.
They all got multiple new
games (even if you don't count
remakes like HG / SS and Oot3D) and if Mario and Pokemon can get newcomers so can
Zelda.
I mean, The Legend Of
Zelda: Wind Waker
remake, a new
Zelda game in progress for Wii U, Yoshi coming back to it's roots on Wii U, Fire Emblem x Shin Megami Tensei, a new Mario Kart, a new 3D Mario
game & what will be our first look at SSB.
Because as we all know, a company «struggling» with HD development can easily devote resources to two
games basically needing full blown
remakes, one Mario Kart title, one Smash Bros, one Wii U
Zelda and numerous other
games all at the same time.
While it's never properly graced the Mario
games again outside of Super Mario Bros. 2 and its ports,
remakes, and the like, it does serve as perhaps one of, if not the earliest of examples of Nintendo's recurring use of mirror dimensions in their
games, including The Legend of
Zelda: A Link to the Past and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.
The
Zelda 3 - Tribute
game was a
remake of
Zelda 1 for the NES, with a slighly 3D view added in.
Unfortunately (and just like Full Screen Mario), Nintendo weren't too pleased with a
remake of their first
Zelda game competing with the Virtual Console version.
Despite worrying rumors of stock shortages orchestrated by Nintendo themselves, we're not far away from the 3DS
remake of perhaps the greatest
game of all time, The Legend of

While players wait for a new Legend of

remake is the best version of the best
Zelda game to date.
Up until about a day ago, there was a
remake of the original Legend of
Zelda game in 3D available to play online at the «
Zelda 30 Year Tribute» website.
Skyward sword should be
remade, it would easily be the best
zelda game without the crappy wii controls
If everyone focuses on the next big new
Zelda, the Wind Waker
remake could be ignored by the community, and since Nintendo plans to sell many copies of that
game, it needs to focus its marketing attention on that release.
With that release, Nintendo is just about out of its main source of
remake games — 3D
Zelda titles (Skyward Sword isn't really a candidate because of its controls).
Interestingly, Darunia and Ruto are making their first new appearance in a
Zelda game for over 17 years (the Ocarina
remake doesn't count!)
Even as
Zelda fans went back and forth on the idea that a
remake of MM even existed, the developers were tweaking away, rebuilding the creepy, unique
game piece by piece.
