Let us not forget that Nintendo are no strangers to working on more than one Zelda game as development for Breath of the Wild immediately started after Skyward Sword and before it released on March 3rd 2017, 2 Zelda HD remasters launched on Wii U, with 2 new games on 3DS and a Majora's Mask remaster, so when it comes to Zelda, don't put anything past them as they could easily have four
Zelda games on the go.

You guys are smoking something really good if you think Xbox 1 or ps4 is
going to sell more then wii u this holiday lol... mostly every big 3rd party
game is coming out
on current gen or wii u this holiday... ac4, batman, rayman, splinter cell, watch dogs, call of duty, etc so most people won't even be upgradeing like that yet when mostly all the same
games will be out across all consoles... Nintendo got all of them
games then there
games zelda, pikmin, wonderfull 101, Mario, etc and there ain't no
game on ps4 or x1 that's
going to sell more then Mario!!!!!! That's a fact... and to top it off we know the wii u is
going to get a official price cut right before x1 and ps4 launch... and you guys still think they
going to sell more lol... now the next holiday of 2014 that's the real question will nintendo still have some 3rd paty
games and there
games to hold off the next halo or god of war etc????
- Link doesn't have much of a character in this
game - they wanted players to relate to Link and play as themselves - Link's face doesn't have much expression in this
game, and that was done
on purpose - for
Zelda games, the devs always try to make the player feel like Link - that was pushed even moreso for this entry - everytime a
Zelda releases, Aonuma watches fan feedback and considers that for the future - the items Link uses to solve are always
going to be important - regardless of the tech that Nintendo provides, exploration in the series is important - Link's growth through who he meets is also an important element of the franchise - Aonuma thought about
Zelda freedom when considering Breath of the Wild, and was brought back to the days of the original
Zelda - this was a big point of inspiration for Breath of the Wild - with Ocarina of Time 3D, Nintendo wanted to really utilize the 3D and had a desire to let players enjoy Ocarina of Time outside - the goal with A Link to the Past was creating more depth - Aonuma used to think that getting lost in a 3D world wasn't okay - this lead Aonuma to putting in tons of hints and guiding players - he has since changed that idea and convinced himself that it's okay to get lost - the first two years of development the devs created a
game where just running around was fun - climbing is very important, because players can climb high and see destinations they want to visit - you can place your own markers to decide where you want to
go - when the devs create a
Zelda title, they consider not using the name Link - since they don't have anything else to
go with, they choose Link - the name Link doesn't hold much value, since the player is the one creating the journey - when Nintendo first created Link, they wanted a character that is literally the link between people - that is why his name is Link - to think that the
Zelda series has been around so long that there are all sorts of urban legends and myths makes Miyamoto really happy
That said, the original
game was one of the finest that the Nintendo 64 had to offer, so if you haven't experienced it yet, you might want to strap
on your
Zelda hoodie and give this one a
go.
Majora's Mask sets out as a much different experience to most other
Zelda games, particularly its predecessor Ocarina of Time, the
game simply throws you into the action with very little to
go on.
Aonuma
goes on to say that the tutorial was «received as a bit of an obstacle» and that he will be «careful not to do that» in future
Zelda games such as
Zelda Wii U. Check out full quotes after the break...
Going by what I have experienced of World to the West already
on Switch, Rain Games could recreate such an impactful Toon
Zelda game, if given the chance and just in case you need more convincing, I have one last card up my sleeve.
We have seen various
games change their mechanics for sequels, Fallout 1 and 2 were isometric top - down RPGs which become 1st person Action - RPGs, Resident evil
went through many stages before becoming first - person in Resident Evil 7,
Zelda went from top - down to side - scrolling then back to top - down before hitting 3d... Fear Effect was originally a 3d third - person stealth - action puzzle
game yet Fear Effect Sedna has been presented as a fixed - angle top - down isometric twin - stick shooter style which focuses
on stealth, action, puzzles and tactics — that is a lot of characteristics and quite ambitious for a small indie
game studio.
For our second episode, we're
going to continue our journey into the
games that shaped our childhood with The Legend of
Zelda on NES, composed by Koji Kondo,
Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link, composed by Akito Nakatsuka, and The Legend of
Zelda: Link's Awakening
on the original GameBoy, composed by Minako Hamano and Kozue Ishikawa.
The Nintendo Switch is the hottest thing in gaming right now, boasting excellent
games such as
Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey and a unique hybrid design that you can enjoy both
on your TV and
on the
go.
The trailer begins with a young man playing the Switch version of The Legend of
Zelda: Breath of the Wild in the comfort of his home before switching to him taking his Joy - Con controllers apart from his Joy - Con Grip, taking the device out of its dock, sliding the Joy - Con controllers
on either side of the Switch's screen, and taking the
game with him
on - the -
go.
Having been invited by Nintendo to its pre-launch event to celebrate the release of its latest console Nintendo Switch (you can read my impressions
on the console and other
games here), there was no way I was
going to leave without getting a taste of The Legend of
Zelda: Breath of The Wild.
Zelda 64, the
game that
went on to become The Legend of
Zelda: Ocarina of Time, was initially promised for Christmas 1997.
Clearly Nintendo took a fair share of
game design inspiration from The Legend of
Zelda: Breath of the Wild, because here, just as in that
game, you'll be making your way to the top of high vantage points, surveying your surroundings, and making your own decisions
on where to
go, based entirely
on what you can see.
The
game is available
on the eShop today - September 12 - for all of those who want to
go ahead and download it and play through an outlier in the
Zelda series.
The
game isn't meant to be a traditional
Zelda experience, it's a fresh new formula designed for those
on the
go or who are seeking a more social experience with the
Zelda franchise.
I have every faith
Zelda 2017 is
going to be a great
game, but we need to stop pinning our dreams
on theories and ideas that just may not be.
Zelda plays a more passive role in some
games while other
games portray her as more active, such as Ocarina of Time when she dons her Sheik disguise or Skyward Sword as she
goes on her own journey to discover the power of the goddess blood running through her veins.
Instead though, I am just
going to focus
on just how hype is ruining what could be an incredible
game for all of us and it's time we started telling certain
Zelda theorists to stick to a singular theory, as opposed to constantly coming out with a new one every week, which contradicts their last one.
Metroid Prime 2 Echoes, Tales of Symphonia, Resident Evil 4, new
Zelda and Mario
games on the horizion, all exclusive to the GameCube, the amount of quality
games for the Cube has and is only
going up.
