Hell,
the Zelda series does that for me just fine, what with the giant hands that descend upon you from the ceiling in the midst of a spiralling hallway, and split into three when you attack them.
The Zelda series does not have a particularly deep combat system, at least compared to most modern action adventure games, and it never really has.

With its non-linear structure and surreal tone, Majora's Mask 3D sometimes doesn't feel like a
Zelda game at all, but it's those who know the
series best who will get the most out of its demanding dungeons and its many entertaining side - quests.
Visiting familiar
Zelda locations and wiping out hundreds of enemies offers brief but satisfying bursts of mindless enjoyment, just don't expect to be engaged in the same way as a full
series release.

After it was revealed that only a few games in the Fire Emblem
series were going to appear, I became worried that this crossover game might not be able to represent the IP as well as Hyrule Warriors
did for The Legend of
Zelda.
Monster of Uncharted Seas certainly has its flaws, but when they are not in the way, what remains is a good
Zelda clone that even manages to
do a few things better than the
Zelda series ever
did here and there, all while looking and sounding great, so it is hard to only keep its flaws against it, because it still provides a very good time.
It's a hell of a lot more niche — only really appealing to
Zelda fans who don't mind a big change in the gameplay style — but Hyrule Warriors is to
Zelda what Mario Kart is to the Super Mario
series, and that's brilliant news for dedicated fans.
It also has several tracks that bear a strange similarity to music from Ocarina of Time, which
does nothing to help separate it from the
Zelda series.
And let's not deny, big risks are Nintendo's thing and as far as
Zelda is concerned, dark and depressing, or colourful and cheerful, it really doesn't matter to us, because it is a
series of character, stories and adventure we just love, and we welcome every new addition Nintendo could throw at us because
Zelda isn't just a game, or a
series of games, it's a lifetime, of gaming, of lasting memories and a foundation of friendships.
This section starts by explaining that Fire Emblem Warriors combines the exhilirating action of the Musou / Warriors
series to elements from the Fire Emblem
series (just like Hyrule Warriors
did with elements from The Legend of
Zelda).
I think
Zelda is probably one of the only few
series that can get away with being creative artistically and I hope that doesn't change with the next one, because no matter what, whatever the end result will be, somebody is going to be upset.
When making an adventure game, being inspired by the iconic
Zelda series can only be a good thing, especially when a title like this
does it justice.

Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma — who was also on hand during the interview — said «Out of all the playable characters [in Hyrule Warriors], there are some surprising characters that made us say «why
did you pick this one?!»
Now that would be a
Zelda game to play and would definitely change things up for the
Zelda series, just as long as Nintendo doesn't hand the game off to Team Ninja when Retro is
done with it, all will be well.
Though I would love to see what Retro
does with
Zelda, I have to wonder why Miyamoto keeps passing the
series off to different people.

did with The Legend of
Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, the 3DS entry from 2013 that let players tackle dungeons in whatever order they liked.

You are right, this is not the next game in the
Zelda franchise, this is just a spin - off developed by Omega Force (Tecmo Koei), the guys who
did the «Dynasty Warriors»
series.

It's not that I didn't love the return to the playful, beautiful art style of
Zelda: A Link Between Worlds for the Nintendo 3DS, it's just that I didn't get nearly enough of the «grown up» version of this
series known as Twilight Princess.»
We've been covering the game pretty extensively, but for those who don't know, it is a crossover between the Legend of
Zelda and Dynasty Warriors
series.
But hands down, Legends is a fantastic improvement and that with the first one, together they
do a brilliant job of showing us what this Dynasty meets
Zelda game can become and gives us hope for a
series that won't just stop at 2 games.
On a site called Newgrounds, I had taken to writing for animations and in no time at all I started my own
Zelda series, which didn't run for long I'll admit.
It's not surprising to hear Miyamoto lay down the direction for a game, as he has
done similarly for other efforts, especially when related to the Legend of
Zelda series.
The big benefit of releasing it this year is the marketing push that could be
done with the 30th anniversary of The Legend of
Zelda series.

But this
series of photos inspired by The Legend of
Zelda: Twilight Princess
does give us serious pause.
Not the most persuasive example, since my favorite
Zeldas are the ones that largely throw out
series convention and mostly
do their own thing.
First 4 Figures has
done impressive work with the
Zelda series before, with models such as Link on Epona, Ganondorf, and Zant, and this latest one is equally incredible.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild arrives on Nintendo Switch and Wii U very soon, and with March 3rd fast approaching we thought it'd be good to take a look at what the The Legend of
Zelda: Breath of the Wild
series of amiibo (sold separately) can
do in the game!

Naturally, this happens every time Zero Punctuation mentions the
Zelda franchise, and, being a regular viewer, I have no choice but to keep my mouth shut and let Yahtzee
do his thing with the expressed knowledge that he never liked the
Zelda series and never will.

series, saying, «Why is it
Zelda's legend if Link
does all the work?»

SEGA is certainly a studio that can crank out some fantastic titles — just look at the recent Yakuza 5, a prime example of the studio's prowess when it comes to cranking out a masterpiece — but these titles are few and far between when compared to the studio's glory days, and you'd be hard - pressed to find any
series in their current stable of games that screams «system seller» in the same way today's Halo, Uncharted, and Legend of
Zelda titles
do on their respective platforms.
Sure, there have been attempts at aping the
series, both structurally and mechanically, but no one else has
done it the way The Legend of
Zelda consistently has.
Earth Defense Force 2025
does provide a good bit of variety in its enemies, though I couldn't help but see the jumping spider enemies as Tektites from The Legend of
Zelda series.
Waypoint: As someone with such a long history with the
Zelda series, how rewarding and heartwarming
does it feel seeing how massively anticipated Breath of the Wild is?
And where
does this
Zelda fit on the
series» timeline, in its chronology, split as that is into three separate yet connected branches?
GB: When the game had the little chime that the
Zelda series has when you open a door or
done something, I just thought «That's really neat.
The problem is that as soon as I start to think about what I can
do, as soon as I find a nice idea, I think it could work in
Zelda and I always come back to this
series.
Your not the only one, a lot of people here don't like it because it reminds them to much of borderlands which to me that game never grabbed my attention I'm a huge fan of cellshaded graphics when it comes to games like
Zelda and the Joe
series but when it's a fps I like my games to be either realistic looking or have a future looking setting which destiny has for me and that made me enjoy the beta more..
