While the magus Amadeus possesses an arsenal of spells and other arcane wonders like the ability to create objects, and Pontius, the Warrior, is obviously the strongest and most physically imposing of the trio, it's Zoya, the archer - thief of the piece, who is gifted with probably the game's most powerful virtue — the ability to manipulate time.
Zoya the Archer can shoot enemies, Amadeus the Wizard can drop conjured boxes on them, and Pontius the Knight — who seems best suited to these sections — can slash, body slam, or charge them.
No more fire and ice arrows for Zoya, or Storm Hammer for Pontius.
The game also features three characters — Pontius the knight, Zoya the thief and Amadeus the wizard — and you make use of their unique abilities to solve puzzles and help guide the characters through the levels.

Pontius the knight is the best when it comes to fighting, but he also has a handy shield that can deflect things like fireballs and can even glide using it, too; Amadeus has somehow lost his ability to summon planks since the events of Trine 2, but he can still conjure up boxes and move things around using his magic; finally Zoya the thief has a bow and can swing around levels, plus her rope can be used to tie objects together.
The expansion adds tons of new content for players to discover and includes the Trine heroes — Amadeus the Wizard, Pontius the Knight, and Zoya the Thief — as playable characters once you have unlocked the Epic Quest mode.
Zoya, the thief, can grapple on to certain surfaces and swing across obstacles, shoot arrows at enemies and is perfect for long range assault.
