Frequently,
abandoned tame cats will show up at the feeding stations.

Our clinics are held for any
cat (feral, semi-feral or
tame) that resides in a colony, is declared un-owned or
abandoned and will be returned to the colony to be fed and managed indefinitely.
The
cats in a colony share a common food source and territory and may include not only ferals, but also strays - former pet
cats who were recently lost or
abandoned and are still
tame.
Unlike feral
cats, the ASPCA defines stray
cats as those that have been
abandoned or become lost, tend to be
tame and can be comfortable around people.
This population is made up of of strays, who are lost or
abandoned tame pet
cats (some of whom have regressed to a not - so -
tame state), and ferals, the essentially wild (that is, not socialized to humans) offspring and descendants of non-neutered strays and pets who were allowed to roam.
Our mission is to reduce the number of
tame cats that are
abandoned, euthanized, or placed in local shelters.
