able about our book sales and income in order to help each other make decisions.

sale — so they're actually MUCH more up for this sort of thing than, say, an indie bookstore, which will just bitch

book, just a sentence or two, since Amazon reviews, even some tepid ones, can drive
sales.

about how it justifies the $ 10 ebook price and increases
sales because users feel they get more value by being
able to lend their
books once.

about his influential study, the Author Earnings project, which has shown that many authors are
able to earn a living wage from their
book sales alone.
I'd have to go back through my contracts to see if there's the usual clause
about publisher being
able to adjust the
sales price of the
books to stimulate
sales, etc. etc., but I'm of an even earlier vintage with EC than Ann Jacobs, so yeah, this has been going on for a long time.
As numbers come out and we learn at least enough
about the big success stories to determine how little of the cash pool was available for other authors to divvy up, we should be
able to get a clearer picture of how well somebody can expect to do through this program, After all, even if you were only making $ 1 per
book sold on each of your hypothetical 30 annual
sales through Barnes & Noble, that's better than getting nothing at all from a lending library for Kindle owners.
